The rings are beautiful. My fiance had purchased my engagement ring (round solitaire, set in a 6-prong platinum setting) from DeCenza. We returned to look at wedding bands. We found our rings on our first trip there. Fi's wedding band was significantly cheaper than what we had initially expected (plain white and yellow gold band). My ring, however, was a bit more expensive that we had anticipated (5 prong-set diamonds on a platinum band ~1.07 carats). I think we could have shopped around to find a better price, but we really liked the service at DeCenza's and decided we wanted to do business with them.

Tim was great, the ultimate professional?even rescued my DH from a drunken, chatty guest :) We haven't seen the video yet, but I'm sure it will be fantastic. I didn't even notice Tim filming most of the time. I think he had as much fun as my guests?I saw him singing along to Ice Ice Baby when it was played!!

I just got my wedding video back, and it is so incredible!!! OMG I absolutely love it. Tim, from Video Visions Forever (in E. Bridgewater), did SUCH an incredible job!!!!! I gave him a solid recommendation even before receiving the video. On the day of the wedding, I noticed him once (with the exception of the interviews) the entire time. My mom & I had no idea where he was even standing at the church...we never even noticed him. So, we watched the video twice already & I'm sure we'll watch it a zillion times again this week. Videography is definitely a MUST DO!! Do not compromise on this...as much as my photographs are FANTASTIC, video is a completely different medium and gives you an entirely new perspective on the day. And a professional videographer has the right equipment to give you a quality product (i.e., lighting & sound). Video Visions Forever gives you a videojournalistic presentation of your wedding day. There are no cheesy graphics or effects. It's your day, as it happened, with live sound. I cannot tell you enough how HIGHLY I recommend my videographer...it means so much to me to have this video to share with my future children & grandchildren.

The tuxes looked great, although we did have 2 minor issues. One tux was sent to the wrong shop (Boston rather than Quincy). It was worked out. Also, they gave the FOG the wrong type of tie (straight tie instead of bow tie). This would have been fine, but they gave my father the correct tie. No one realized it until the day of the wedding. It still is bugging me...yes, I know it's minor and most people didn't notice, but it bothers me.

Beautiful! I had been shopping with a friend for her wedding gown and was browsing at the tiaras. I had previously purchased one from e-bay, but I was not thrilled with it. I found two at Amari Bridal that I liked, and after asking for multiple opinions, I decided on this one. I was able to bring the tiara home that day. Quite a few brides have asked where I bought my tiara, and I know that Amari Bridal will ship to you if you call them. Definitely go with a center comb tiara too...the side combs make the tiara look lopsided, and they kill to put on!

I had no involvement in the planning of this event, other than emailing a guest list to my MIL. She was fantastic! She planned the entire thing, and I could not have asked for a nicer rehearsal dinner. The food was excellent, and we had such a great time...people gave toasts, they mingled, we gave gifts...it was just so much fun!

Our band was INCREDIBLE!! I booked them through Barbara at Entertainment Specialists (www.entertainmentspecialists.com). People started dancing before the appetizer was even served, and they only stopped during the band's 2 breaks. I had people coming up to me throughout the evening telling me that it was the best band they had ever seen. Everyone RAVED about them!

Indian Pond is absolutely gorgeous. We knew we wanted to have our wedding there before we even got engaged. We lucked out and were able to get a Saturday evening wedding due to a cancellation (we booked in July 2004). When we went for our tasting in November, we were surprised to find out that there was a new coordinator, and we hadn't been notified. I actually had to ask someone if the old coordinator was still there, as no one made any mention of it. We were very impressed with IPCC on the wedding day, and the new coordinator (Karen) did a wonderful job. Diane ran our wedding on the day-of though, as Karen had done the afternoon wedding there (they only hold one event at a time...this was VERY important to us). Everything ran very smoothly and looked beautiful. The food was fantastic, and the service was beyond excellent. Our server, Vicky, was very attentive. It's an expensive venue, but it was the ONLY choice we could have made :)

DH & I really enjoyed our marriage prep program at the Espousal Center in Waltham (fyi...he's Catholic, I'm Episcopalian). The one-on-one work was really the best part of the program. We filled out handouts separately then returned to each other to review our responses. We had already talked about all of the issues, but it was nice to be reassured that we had covered the important things! I found the group work to really be useless. We read two case studies, and it seemed that the only answer the priest wanted to hear was that the couple should work together to find a solution. And if that's the case, there was really no need to even bother with this exercise. He wasn't really open to any opinions other than the one he was looking for. You could definitely tell who the more independent and liberal couples were! The married couples who presented did an excellent job. The Natural Family Planning portion of the program was completely tolerable. Not too preachy, which was nice. I don't agree with all of their statistics on NFP and on living together before marriage, but that's another issue. Overall, it was an emotionally bonding experience between DH & I. We could not have asked for a better day. We really felt so much more connected after the program.

What can I say? The pictures speak for themselves in regard to their talent. Besides that though, they are SO wonderful to work with. We were so happy with them from the moment we met them. Rene & Melissa have such pleasant dispositions, and we could not have asked for more wonderful photographers. You have to see their pictures because they are just amazing.

My biggest problem with the wedding planning came from the Plymouth Radisson. I was so disappointed in them from the beginning. I ended up with 14 rooms on Friday night & 35 rooms on Saturday night, so we definitely gave them a good deal of business ($8000+). You think they could have been a bit more accommodating. Patty, the rooms coordinator was very helpful, but their policy of only allowing 10 open rooms at a time was very restrictive. I had to be extremely proactive in getting my guests to book rooms, and then following up with the hotel to add more rooms to our block. At one point, I was calling every single day. I also grew increasingly frustrated with the poor customer service I received from the front desk staff when calling. I was constantly forwarded to the central reservations line when calling with questions specifically for the front desk. It was such a nightmare. I finally got fed up and contacted Patty regarding all the issues. These were brought to the attention of the front desk manager and the general manager. They agreed to comp the delivery charge for my OOT baskets as a result. Over the next month or so, the service level had increased to a point that it was noticeable they were making an effort. The OOT baskets were dropped off the Thursday before the wedding, and they were to be delivered to guests' rooms by 6P the day they checked in (they refused to hand them out at the desk as I had requested). There was mass-confusion in getting the baskets to the correct rooms. I know some guests didn't receive baskets at all (and I have no idea where those baskets went!). I spent a lot of time & $$ putting those baskets together, and I was so upset that they ended up either in random rooms or in the hands of Radisson employees. The only reason I gave them a D instead of an F is due to Patty.
