Jennifer Bueno is the owner and on my wedding day she was amazing! I booked her very last minute because I really thought I was going to do my own makeup. I'm quite picky about my makeup and was very nervous to hand the brushes over to someone else. After much thought I realized the day would be much more relaxing if someone else was doing me and my bridesmaids hair and makeup. Luckily, Jennifer wasn't booked. (I got married on a Friday evening which helped) She suggested that we start getting ready at 11:30am and my wedding was at 5:30. I was very hesitant to start so early, but this girl knows her stuff. She showed up with all her stuff and her hair stylist Nancy and made 2 stations in my hotel room. It was so much fun and we all looked gorgeous. All my bridesmaids had their hair done, but I was going to my usual salon. Well, long story short I had a hair crisis at my salon and Jennifer's stylist Nancy swooped in and fixed my hair trauma. Let's just say I went from Princess Laya to Princess Grace. Thanks Nancy! Jennifer's talent shows in my wedding pictures. We all look glowing, but not fake. All my girls look beautiful and glamorous, but not to the point where we looked like we had a ton of makeup on. I would recommend her to anyone, but definitely book early if you're getting married on a Saturday. I just got lucky.

My husband and I met Brian Kent (owner) at the Bridal Bazaar last January. We looked at at least 20 photographers websites and for the price his was just as artistic and creative as the $8000 photographers. After our first meeting with Brian we knew he would be an awesome fit for our wedding. My husband and I hate taking pictures, so Brian made sure he would use a more photo journalistic style which he prefers. He really listed to us and what we wanted for our engagement photos and wedding day. We bought the $2900 package that included our engagement photos, photo guest book, all day wedding photography, $1000 credit toward our wedding album, 4x6 prints of the majority of the wedding photos he took & all of our photos on a CD as well. The package was well worth the money and our engagement/wedding day photos came out exactly how we hoped they would. Brian & his assistant were so professional that we barely even noticed them as they took photos candidly throughout the day. In addition, Brian is such a nice guy and his main goal is to make sure his clients are happy. He's our photographer for life now.
This shop has mixed reviews, but from what I noticed most of the negatives have to do with the appearance of the store and cluttered amount of dresses. I made an appointment and worked with Sandra. This was my 6th bridal shop and she really listened to what I wanted in my wedding dress. That didn't happen at any other shop. I knew that I wanted a mermaid style dress, so that's all she showed me. The other bridal shops showed me all kinds of dress styles which was a waist of time because mermaid was the only style I wanted. Sandra found a dress for me that was perfect except it had straps. She said not to worry...they would make it strapless and that they did. My dress was stunning and just what I had envisioned. Here's a tip...if you want a swanky boutique this is not the place for you. The shop is nice, but there are a lot a lot of dresses. Not frills equals reasonable prices, beautiful dresses and a selection that won't leave you disappointed. On my wedding day I didn't care about my dress coming from a fancy boutique, but that my dress looked like it did. It was 100% silk, looked amazing and I paid half of what I would have paid at a designer boutique. Well worth the time spent searching through all the dresses in the store.

My husband and I made our own programs, menus, place cards and a few other things. Paper Source allowed us to do all this for about $200 and the quality was exceptional. We had guests asking where we ordered our place cards, etc and they were shocked when the found out they were homemade. If there is a store by you, take advantage if you have the time. We saved a ton of money and the end result was just what we wanted.

The Dana on Mission Bay was the perfect ceremony & reception venue for our wedding. The ceremony site is stunning and the Mission Bay ballroom offers an elegant atmosphere for any size reception under 300 people. My husband and I chose The Dana because we wanted a waterfront wedding without breaking the bank. The Dana offers a lot of extras for the price. Our ceremony site was very reasonable compared to all the other hotels in the area and we did not have to compromise on waterfront views. The cocktail & reception had so much included in the per person price. Cocktail hour with hosted bar was included along with tray passed appetizers. Dinner included wine for all of our guests and the champagne toast as well. The day of our wedding The Dana staff was amazing. They had everything set up on time and were extremely professional and polite. We had a unique reception set up that was done perfectly to our expectations. We had a kings or honor table for the my husband and I along with our wedding party. It was a long table of 16 in the center of the room with the other round tables of our guests surrounding us. Our wedding party got to sit with their dates and it was nice to be surrounded by all of our guests. The Dana set everything up to perfection. They worked well with all of our other vendors and the day was perfect. For the money, The Dana is one of the best sites for a waterfront wedding in San Diego. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is because their catering manager isn't the most friendly of all the vendors I worked with. She was very professional, but when you're getting married you want to work with someone who is happy and excited to work with you. It would have been nice to have a bit more personality from her, but The Dana itself is such a great wedding site that we were willing to overlook the catering managers lack of personality. At least she was professional and everything went off without a hitch.

Irene with A Perfect Table is the best linen vendor in town!!! I search high and low for chair covers that did not need to have a sash tied around the cover...just not my style at all. A Perfect Table has silk taffeta or satin taffeta chair covers and table lines that look stunning. The chair covers are self tie which look so elegant especially when you put a flower in the back of each one. Our colors were lime and black so we put a green spider mum in the back of each chair...wow it look gorgeous! Not only are A Perfect Table's linens stunning, but the prices won't break the bank. They beat every other linen vendor I looked at. Definitely give them a call and you won't be disappointed!

Sharon Cole held it all together the day of my wedding. Leading up to the wedding she coordinated with all my vendors to make sure all was in order. My mom bought the month of package as a gift for me and my husband. I'm not really sure how much of month of stuff she did, but the week of is when she really pulled things off. The night of the rehearsal she kept everything simple and easy. Everyone know where to be and what to do the next day. On my wedding day I had a horrible cold and this is where I am so grateful for all that Sharon did. Having a horrible cold on your wedding day sucks and Sharon was there for anything I needed. Her and her assistant checked on my at least every hour if not every half hour. The ceremony went off without a hitch and she kept everything right on track. She and her assistant were always calm which made me feel better. After the ceremony as we were taking pictures she brought my husband and I appetizers and wine. Then we had about 20 minutes before introductions, so my husband and I just relaxed in the lobby. I was freezing from my cold and being outside taking pics. Sharon hunted down a teapot and brought me tea. After the first dance, speeches, etc I really needed more Dayquil so here assistant went to my room and brought me Dayquil. I was so sick that I didn't even drink a sip of alcohol except for the champagne toast. So, Sharon made sure my teapot was full at all times because that was the only thing that made me feel good enough to get out on the dance floor with our guests. Oh and Sharon has anything and everything that a bride could need on her wedding day. My husband stepped on my bussel (if that's how you spell it) and broke the ties. Sharon had this thing that tacked my bussel back up no problem and it didn't look ridiculous. Those are just a few example of the amazing job her and her assistant did on my wedding day. She is a wonderful and kind person who made my wedding day flawless even though I was sick. I really can't thank her enough for all she did.

Delish! Our cake was so yummy and beautiful. The bakery nailed the design and colors that we wanted. Simple and elegant was the look we were going for and they did it without making the cake look boring. The service was exceptional at the tastings and the price was right.

My husband and I met with Denise and were quite frustrated with the invitation process. Each store we went into basically gave us a book and said look through it and when you find what you like or want to order let us know. Hello people...you're a salesperson trying to sell us invitations...we needed suggestions and direction. Many of the stores we went to carried exactly what Denise carries, but she was the only person who sat down with us and went over all kinds of invites until she narrowed it down to the style we liked. Our invitations were stunning and thanks to her time, effort and sales skills she had our business. She also does other types of invites and holiday cards which I ordered through her for Thanksgiving and Christmas. If you want one on one invite advice make an appointment with Denise.

Mike is such a nice guy and did an exceptional job at our reception. He introduced our wedding party without making one mistake or hesitation. He also sounds like a normal guy and not a cheesy game show host. He MC'd the wedding like a pro. He was very reasonably priced and even gave us a great deal on up lighting which I think is a must for any evening wedding. The only thing I would suggest to the next bride is to give him a specific list of songs you want to hear at the reception. He played the songs a bit too long for our taste, but our guests were very happy with the music. That's really all that mattered. He's a great guy who will work with you in any way he can to make your wedding special.
