Kris was the photographer for our wedding in June this year. She was great to work with and gave us a DVD of over 2000 excellent photos. We had looked at five different photographers of which most were either *way* overpriced, wouldn't give us the DVD of the originals (meaning that you pay through the nose for every photo), or seemed a bit unpleasant to work with. Kris is fun, down to earth and professional. Although planning a wedding from across the country was challenging, she met up with us whenever we were in town, and helped us organize the planned family shot list. On the day of the wedding, she was everywhere, but never noticed or pushy. If I was hanging out with my high school friends she took the shot, but then disappeared again to take photos of other people. The photos came out great, but now we have to decide which ones to put in the album- a hard decision when there's so many great photos to choose from!

I wanted to have live music as I walked down the aisle, but I was scared off by the high prices many musicians charge. I was thinking of just using prerecorded music, but then I learned that due to noise laws my venue couldn't allow amplified music outdoors. With some searching, I found this group which was more affordable and hired a string trio for 2 hours. I was a bit nervous about how it would turn out- since you don't get to hear the music ahead of time and I wans't sure how the timing with the processional would work out. My fears were for nothing as everything worked out to plan. I was extremely happy with all aspects of their service. They were easy to keep in touch with and did a great job during the ceremony and cocktail hour.

As soon as we stopped by for the cake tasting, we knew that this was the place for us. We were able to try over 10 different cake samples and each of them was truly amazing! You can't find mass-produced cakes that have such a light texture and rich flavor. Margaret helped us design a cake for our wedding that would incorporate the specific cake topper we wanted to use, and suggested that we use both a sheet cake and a tiered cake to help us lower the cost. Margaret was very professional and a pleasure to work with- I never doubted that things would work out well. I also liked the idea that it's a family run business. I would highly recommend her!

We looked at four different florists for our wedding in June 2009, and we liked Sarah (Florabella) the best! First- she was fun to work with and relaxed- always a bonus for busy and stressed out brides. I knew that I wanted "wildflowers" rather than more traditional arrangements, and she was able to work with my (vague) description of what I was looking for and turn it into something amazing. I got so many compliments on my flowers on the tables, and I personally loved my bouquet. She also had a great idea for using wheatgrass to hold the place cards. All this, AND her prices were very competitive. What more could you ask for!

After a bad experience with my first trial run, I was nervous about finding someone to do my hair for my wedding. To make it worse, I live out of state, and would only be flying in three days before the wedding. I found Heidi on Yelp and decided to give her a try. She was able to fit me in with only a few weeks notice, and we were able to do a try run at the salon she works at. I was pretty happy with the trail, but decided I wanted my hair half-up/ half-down for the actual wedding. On the day of the wedding she came to my house and curled my hair, pinning half of it up. It looked great! She also did my sisters hair. She was fun to work with and professional. And much more reasonably priced than other people offering to do wedding hair. The only thing she lacks is a good website!

My husband and I knew we wanted to find an outdoor location for our wedding, and looked at several sites in the Bay Area. When we saw the Mountain Terrace, we knew it was the place for us. The setting is gorgeous! It's not cheap, but not really expensive for the Bay Area either. The only drawback may be getting guests home from the wedding since it's up a windy mountain road. We had a shuttle for guests that wanted to party.

We were a bit apprehensive about planning a wedding from CT (we moved there 8 months before the wedding), but Caren, our contact at MT, was awesome about meeting with us at short notice whenever we were in town, letting us know in advance about food tastings, and replying to my emails with 48 hours.

My husband and parents attended the food tasting. They thought it was ok, not great, but on the day of the wedding the food was awesome. People kept complimenting us about the food, particularly the samosa and dates w/ bacon appetizers.

We didn't use their wedding coordination service, but they still helped us organize linens, the seating chart, flow of the evening, etc. Particularly helpful was a questionare they sent about 2 months before the wedding asking for contact numbers for our vendors, questions about the timeline, etc.

Highly recommended!!
