After my cake baker, Chef Robert with C.R Cakes, was murdered I was in a frantic mode trying to find a cake baker to replace his fabulousness, which I was having a lot of trouble doing. I am 17 days out from my wedding date and still havent confirmed with a cake baker yet. I was so frustrated b/c everyone was overcharging and wasnt offering quite the excellence that Chef Robert was. Needless to say he set the expectations and standards very high for the next person. I am having a very intimate ceremony so not many people could accommodate my small group with the correct cake and pricing. Then on Friday 9/11/09 I received a call from Teresa Cardin, the sales manager at Finale by Glenna, and she had told me that she had known Robert for years and had worked with him before and she and Glenna were trying to help out his brides who were left when he passed. I thought, wow, what a great thing to do!
From the moment I spoke with Teresa she was so welcoming, friendly and down to earth which was very different from the 20 or so cake bakers I had been meeting with over the last two weeks.
We scheduled an appointment and she drove to me and worked around my work schedule to meet me!
She was warm and friendly at our appointment and she listened to what I wanted and what I was trying to accomplish.
She was able to create the exact replica of my cake and for around the same price I was originally paying!!!
She is so helpful and willing to go the extra step to make the bride feel confident in their cake!
She took lots of notes, re confirmed what I said and made the experience so happy!
Robert must have sent her to me and she is a blessing and I cannot wait to see my finalized cake!
If your looking for a cake baker who is truly in tune with the bride and receptive to her needs than Finale By Glenna is the place to go!
I would recommend them to anyone and would not get my cake anywhere else!

This was the WORST experience of my "bridal" life! I bought a couture Piccione wedding gown from Alfred Angelo which costs me a small fortune and went back today for alterations only to leave in tears! These people who were once "nice" to me were so rude and discourteous today! They tried to charge me almost half of what I paid for my dress just to do the alterations and when I told them that was too pricey for me then they turned like devils on me! They begin to question my financial status and the financial status of my fiance and they were gossiping about me right in front of me. All my wedding party also bought their gowns from this store. They began saying I should be thankful they are charging me this amount b/c some people pay over $1k for wedding dress alterations so I should be thankful. Then the seamstress began to say to me how sorry she was that I dont have enough money to afford her b/c she is the best and my dress is 100% silk so I should expect to pay higher than everyone else. There was another bride in the store who had also purchase a Piccione dress and she came up to me and said "They did the exact same thing to me and I left more upset than you. I didnt get my dress altered by them at all." I will NEVER go back to Alfred Angelo again ever.
