The most pathetic part is that I now see a review written by a purported bride, literally the day after I posted my review. Our of curiosity, I called the Hyatt Irvine where she apparently had her wedding reception on a MONDAY and they checked their system and sadly, there were no weddings at all on that day. I doubt a real bride would ever mistake the date of her own wedding reception. I'm sure the writer will later edit their review to get their story straight but please disregard the raving review above. Really makes me wonder how many of the other positive reviews were written by real brides.
I typically do not take the time to write reviews but the terrible experience I had with ULC warrants a review. We reserved a Lincoln stretch limo and instead got a Chrysler. ULC states that this is an upgrade but we simply wanted the Lincoln which is why we reserved it. The wedding was very traditional and to us, a stretch Hummer would not have been an "upgrade," it would have been an eyesore. Similarly, the Chrysler 300 limo that we got was just too ostentatious looking for my tastes. We stated the name of the church we wanted the driver to take us to in our reservation but since we did not provide a specific address, we had to provide turn by turn directions the whole way even though he had a gps and could have easily inputted the destination. I was willing to let this all go and my husband simply sent an email stating that we had the wrong vehicle on the day of our wedding and what seemed like a miscalculation with our final bill (we went over by an hour.) We expected a simple apology and perhaps an adjustment to our bill but what followed was nothing of the sort. Since the owner's emails speak for themselves, I've cut and pasted them here. All punctuation and capitalizations are his.
"We apologize we sent you a newer and more expensive vehicle as a free upgrade when you asked for our oldest and least expensive vehicle in our fleet for your wedding. Fortunately, this is the first time a client has made a complaint like this regarding getting one of our Chrysler 300 for their wedding, which is by far a much better, classier looking vehicle which costs a lot more for weddings and we picked to send to you as a free upgrade for your wedding. Usually the response is a thank you from our clients if this happens as a nice surprise, but not here."
"We also apologize for the sending the better vehicle to the wedding, and brand new 2008 limo versus an 2004 Lincoln. Which of course, “you didn’t want.”
Glad you referred to the reviews, due to the enormous amount of volume of work we do there’s always a few clients you just can’t make happy, and will find the most shocking things to complain about like getting a better limo then the one they ordered, and driver’s not knowing where they’re going when no address was given."
Is it so shocking to complain that we didn't get the car we actually reserved? Also, he completely misses the point by stating that the Chrysler is the more expensive vehicle because if we had wanted that car, we would have booked it. He states it's the "classier" and "better" vehicle and I as the customer, simply disagree. I had no idea the Lincoln stretch limo was the oldest car they had although I guess this is something future clients should be aware of. And finally, in our invoice, "UNSATISFIED WANTING APOLOGY!" I'm not sure what kind of customer service practices allow for the online equivalent of yelling at a customer.

I kept going back and forth on whether it was worth the extra cost of having calligraphy done for my invitation envelopes. After reading reviews of Katrina's work, I decided to go for it. I just received my inner and outer envelopes and I couldn't be happier with how they turned out! The calligraphy looks incredibly artistic and gives each invitation that personal touch that I was going for. Totally worth it! I was giddy sending out my invitations just looking at how beautiful everyone's names and addresses came out. Even the people at the post office commented on how beautiful the lettering was. Highly recommend!
