My experience at David's was HORRIBLE. My best friend (who is also getting married) and I had appointments at the same time, and her bridal assistant was very helpful. Mine however, was EXTREMELY rude and mean. She didn't listen to any of the styles of dresses I wanted and brought me dresses that were not even close to my taste ( wanted a princess gown, and she brought me 4 sheath dresses). Then when it came time to try the dresses on, she pretty much abandoned me so I had to get into my dress my self, or stand up on the podium for 30 minutes waiting for her to come clamp it (I'm a rather small size). Then when I was asking the opinion of my friend, she chose to jump in and say that I looked bad in the dress because I am misproportioned, and this dress just was not for me, and that Since I don't have much of a waist, I should definitely keep looking if I wanted a dress that looked decent. I thought this was SO rude, to insult ME instead of saying that the dress just wasn't right. I'm a size two, and I've worked very hard to keep in shape and she just went off telling me how horrible I looked. Then, since my fiance was getting my ring resized, she didn't believe that I was engaged anyway (I'm 21, but look younger), and asked me "Oh, so are you sure you're really engaged? Cuz I don't see a ring." So I'm sure she thought that she wasn't going to get any sort of commission from me because I wasn't "really engaged", so she just ignored any sort of good customer service rules. This was the first bridal store I went to to try on dresses, and it was awful. No one should put on their first wedding dress and have someone tell them how horrible they look. I would not recommend David's to anyone, at least not the Brookfield location. I will not be giving them any of my business again.
