My experiences at Kleinfeld's were a mixed bag. My sales consultant Debbie was EXCELLENT-she took the few vague likes/dislikes and pictures that I brought her and pulled the winner within a couple of tries (all within my budget as well). However, I feel that they give you the royal treatment until they get your money, and then you are just part of the assembly line. My first fitting appointment was terrible-the fitter only demonstrated one bustle style and then insisted that nothing else would work for the dress when we asked to see other styles (while my dress had a very simple shape and short train). When we pushed to see more, she got argumentative with us and I left feeling very upset and without a resolution about the bustle. It took a call to the alterations customer service manager and a second "first" fitting with a manager participating (who recommended another bustle exactly to my liking) to make me feel better again. The rest of the fittings were fine, and though the fitter continued to carry a grudge, the dress came out better than I could have imagined, including the straps that we had them make and add to the dress. All in all, I am more than happy with the way the dress came out but feel that Kleinfeld's can do a lot more to make the alterations experience more positive for its brides.

Hello!Lucky did my invitations and menu cards. Their customer service staff were great to work with, knowledgeable about all of their products/printing, and extremely responsive to e-mail inquiries. My letterpress invitation suite came out beautifully and was excellent quality. There was a flaw in the printing on the reply envelopes (which was obvious and I thought should have caught it before they were sent out), however when I contacted them about the issue they were very good about it and sent me replacements, express delivery with no hassle and at no charge. They are pricey but reasonable in comparison to other letterpress invitations that I researched.

Working with this group (mostly with Margaret, the contact person), was a very positive experience from beginning to end. Margaret is wonderful to work with and was full of suggestions when I needed help choosing my processional music. They have a great variety of songs to play for the ceremony prelude and cocktail hour and are fine with you choosing as little or as much of the playlist as you want-for me, I was glad to be able to give Margaret some likes and dislikes from their song list and they took it from there to create a great playlist. I would give the value for cost more than 5 stars if I could-they were much less expensive to hire than other groups and I cannot imagine anyone else being any better.

Joyce has found her talent! If you want to look absolutely amazing on your wedding day, hire her. She is very sweet, extremely professional, and knows exactly how to work with your features to make you beautiful. Her price is steep but in my opinion worth it. Go to the trial session with her if you can afford it, because she takes her time to ask what you want, look at any pictures you bring, and work out what she is going to do. I had a good idea of what I wanted with my hair, but could only say I wanted the makeup to be natural and bring out my eyes-that was all she needed to do her magic. It lasts, too-she started my hair and makeup for my 5:00 ceremony at 9:30 in the morning and it lasted through the night with only a couple of touch-ups to the lip color throughout the day. I got so many compliments that day that I felt like a movie star!

I cannot say enough good things about Kate. The first time we talked, I came to her with only my colors, a vague idea about what I wanted, and a list of flowers that I like. She took that and worked with me to come up with beautiful, creative ideas that I loved, mostly over the phone as I was planning cross-country. She was very easygoing about making changes to the plan and excellent at suggesting the best ways to stay inside my budget without sacrificing on the overall "look," including thinking of ways to transfer the ceremony flowers to the reception, so they would not go waste. On the day of, she and her team showed up on time, worked very hard all afternoon, and because it was an outdoor wedding on a hot day, did everything they could to wait until the last moment to set out arrangements that were in the sun. She even took the time to arrange votive candles that I had bought for the tables. Everything was even more beautiful than I had imagined, all top quality, and looked extremely lush for the price she quoted. Just looking at the ceremony and reception decor, I would have thought that it cost much more than it did. I heard numerous compliments from my guests about both the ceremony flowers and the reception centerpieces.
