This was a lovely place to stay the night of the wedding. The service was impeccable, and the room and its view both stunning. I would definitely recommend this hotel to honeymooners.

Our rehearsal dinner was WONDERFUL at DoubleDave’s. The food was delicious and hot, and the staff was wonderful. The environment of the restaurant was perfect, too: it’s a very relaxed and fun place, with a pool table that a lot of the younger attendees enjoyed. Highly recommended!

Mr. Don Carico was the photographer for our wedding, and he also provided us with engagement photos. He is amazing! Mr. Carico is not only a talented photographer, but a professional and kind person. With his assistant, he really captured the emotion and excitement of our wedding day. He did a combination of color and black-and-white photos. The final product (a large black and silver photo album) is nothing less than a treasure. We definitely recommend him to all brides.

Wow- I don’t even know where to start with this amazing hair stylist. I made an appointment for no fewer than 9 of us girls to get our hair done with Shawn-Marie on the morning of my wedding, and she was amazing. She worked fast, and she really listened to what we wanted our hair to look like, and made it happen. I was worried that she wouldn’t be able to get my chemically straightened hair to hold a curl, but she got my hair looking exactly the way I wanted it. Shawn-Marie worked her magic on all of us, from my teenaged little sisters to the older women in my family. We all looked like movie stars!

This candy store made the most amazing favors for our guests. The favors were little chocolate truffles, hand-painted to look like tiny wedding dresses and tuxes. Everyone thought they were adorable- and delicious! They also provided us with a platter of chocolate-covered strawberries for the reception, and those were amazing as well. I would definitely recommend Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory for very special wedding treats!

Phil is an amazing DJ. We wanted someone who would listen to our preferences and provide classy, formal entertainment, and that’s exactly what he did. I already knew what songs I wanted to be played and when, and Phil fulfilled my requests perfectly. He even provided an amazing introduction and song for my new parents-in-law to dance to, honoring their long years of marriage, which was incredibly sweet. I would definitely have to say that Phil went above and beyond to make our reception perfect.

From the outside of the Gilruth Center, it doesn’t look terribly impressive, but the inside is what counts! =) This was a lovely place to have our wedding. We used a huge room that resembled a ballroom or conference room, and it had all the necessary features for a successful and beautiful wedding: plenty of lighting options, a good selection of table shapes and sizes, a bar, and most importantly, a kind and accommodating staff.

The food and the service provided by Sodexho were amazing. They provided a champagne toast and an open bar, which everyone loved, of course. The dinner was buffet-style, with different serving sections: one for pasta, one for meat, and a special station where you create your own mashed potato dish in a martini glass. (These were beautiful and unique.) Everyone loved the food- it was hot and delicious. The servers were so professional and helpful.

I went to the Walmart bakery at Store #1062 on El Dorado Blvd. in Friendswood, TX. I couldn’t believe what a beautiful cake we got from Walmart, of all places. The price was amazing, and the tall layer cake they provided had exactly the colors I wanted. The cake looked awesome in the photographs, and of course it was delicious, too. I would whole-heartedly recommend this Wal-mart bakery for anyone wanting a gorgeous wedding cake.

David’s Bridal sold me the most perfect wedding gown I could have imagined. Their tailors were fast and efficient, and they made my gown look beautiful on me, as if it was custom-made just for me. The thing I love most about David’s Bridal is that the saleswomen were helpful, but not pushy.
