This facility is beautiful and has character. They are known for their great food, and our reception was no exception. The food and service were fabulous. While in the bridal suite with my bridal party, I was informed that I had been given chair covers for free! There had been an event earlier and they decided to leave them on for me. This is an expensive item (usually $3-$6 per chair cover, and I had 130 guests) and they just gave it to me for free. They were very willing to work with us on what exactly we wanted and gave us a very reasonable price. I was very happy with our site!

This photographer is very talented. Vinny and his wife work together. She takes the candid shots and he takes the formal shots. They have a great dynamic and are very fun and easy to work with. We have wonderful pictures from our wedding and have gotten compliments on our flush mount album from everyone who has seen it. One of my bridesmaids was so impressed with them she decided to use them for her wedding as well--they were just as good! I would highly recommend this photographer without reservation!

This is the bakery in East Haven, CT that did our wedding cake. When my husband and I went to the tasting, we were very impressed by the friendly demeanor of the staff and by how good all the cake tasted! We had a difficult time choosing which flavor we wanted.

At the wedding we had many compliments about our cake (can you believe it? Who usually remembers the cake?). We were very happy with this bakery and would definitely recommend them.

This is a business run by a woman named Ann who works out of her home in West Haven. I found out about her because she altered my older sister's wedding dress. She did a fantastic job. My bridal shop ordered me a size 10 when I am really a size 2-4 so she had quite a job! There was beadwork all the way around the bodice of the dress and the train was long with beadwork as well. She had to take in the bodice quite a bit and the length a bit as well. It was very inexpensive for the work she did ($150 for all of my alterations, and the gown to be pressed), and she is a very friendly woman who is easy to work with. I have since had other dresses altered by her and I would definitely recommend her to anyone!

This bridal shop had a selection unlike any other I could find in New Haven county. I found the dress I fell in love with here and just had to get it. It was a little more than I wanted to spend (just under $1200 after tax with a 10% discount), but it was worth it in the end.

At first, the customer service was good. However, the woman measured me with all my clothes on (padded bra, jeans, etc.) and did not tell me she was ordering a size 10 dress!! At the time I was normally a size 4-6, and by the wedding I was a 2-4 (I had only lost 5 lbs. She tried to blame it on that but she should have at least ordered an 8 at the very highest). When I found out I couldn't believe it. I went to try on the dress when it came in and it literally was falling off of me. Beware of this as a lot of places do it to try to get you to spend a lot more on alterations. I had my alterations done through someone I know so I didn't have to worry about that. Overall a great selection, but not the best customer service.
