I really loved this store. They have a great selection of stationary and they also make beautiful wedding invitations. After browsing through their book of examples I decided to buy envelopes and paper from them and make my own invitations. Of course they can do it for you, but the price is rather high. So if you are crafty like me, you can buy the supplies and make something really original with their products.

If you're looking for a baker in the Indianapolis area, the best tasting cakes come from Heavenly Sweets. So if best tasting is your first priority then I would recommend this bakery. The down side is that they aren't terribly creative with the cake design. Because they don't use fondant (which does hurt the taste of the cake), they can't make really extravagant looking designs. So I'd keep it simple with the look of the cake if you want it to taste really good.

My cousin ordered her cake and dessert arrangement from Oak Mill Bakery in Chicago. Let me put it this way, it was the most impressive dessert table that I've ever seen! She ordered a little bit of everything and it just made the evening grand for sweet-tooths like me! Not only did everything taste amazing, but they make their dessert look amazing! For example, they little chocolate baskets with fruit and cream inside. Totally a looker!
At European Bridal, the saleswomen really don't leave you alone. You're pretty much stuck with them from beginning to end. I know that some people don't mind that, but I kind of enjoy browsing without someone trying to convince me of what to wear. This was the only problem I had in the store, because if you can get passed the saleswomen then you can see that they have a great selection of gowns. They do run on the mid-higher range, but I'm under the position that on your wedding day a girl should look her absolute best. I actually ended up buying my dress here after negotiating with the saleswoman. Don't be afraid if she tells you she won't negotiate, just make sure you let her know that this is your price offer and you won't buy otherwise. She'll go for it!

Bridal and Formal can be a pretty crazy place on the weekends. Make sure you get there early and don't be surprised if you see a line even before it opens. However crowded the store can get, the sales people are actually really great. They allow you to peruse the store on your own until you dig up 6-7 dresses that you'd like to try on. After that it's like having your own personal assistant. They help you get the dresses on and stay with you until you are all done. When I had narrowed my search down to one dress, they saleswoman even offered us a better deal than the tag. In addition, she called in the store specialist on veils to talk to me as well.

I really enjoyed working with JP Parker. I had interviewed several other florists and came across problems of them either not listening to what I wanted or they wouldn't custom adjust their pricing. The rep that I met with was interested in seeing photos that I brought for her and making sure she wrote down all the details that I spoke to her about. On top of that, her prices were lower than other vendors around the Indianapolis area.
Being a person who appreciates artist quality, I wanted a photographer who understands that value as well. Danny is considered a photojournalist. He takes shots that are in the moment, which I find more interesting than a bunch of family posing for a shot. He does a good job of mixing both color and black and white photos for a real picturesque look. In addition, he can create a wedding album that is laid out and printed into a carefully bound album. A really unique photographer and work style that I think stands out amongst traditional work.

Indiana Roof Ballroom is an exquisite space. I'm an architect so it was important to me that the wedding site have some character to it. The building is over 80 years old and the ballroom itself is designed to look like a Spanish courtyard. The plus side of this room is its size and decor. You really don't need to spend a great deal on decorating (besides the table settings) and the ballroom is HUGE (so it'll fit both my fiancé's and my families). The managing team is run by a family that has been in the wedding business for several years. This made me feel really comfortable to work with them because they have the experience. They were even helpful with tips on where to look for other vendors.

The sales people at All About Weddings were extremely friendly and helpful when choosing my bridesmaid dresses. I like to do my own research online before going out to look at gowns, so I'm always looking for a store where the sales people can help me when I have questions but don't bother me when I look around. I've definitely seen some stores that do not allow me to browse around on my own because the sales people are very worried about their commission. I enjoyed the company of the women at the store as well as appreciated their help.
