I had my wedding dress hemmed (about 6 inches cut off...I'm short!), taken in an inch, a new zipper put into the dress and a sweetheart neckline made. Not only was my dress ready in 2 weeks (seriously, I only had to meet with her once!), but ALL those alterations only cost me $56. She is totally amazing and would recommend her in a heartbeat!

We ordered the custom made linen suit from Island Importer. Their customer service was great, they called me twice to make sure I had given them the correct measurements. Time between making the garment and shipping was fairly quick. They only reason why I gave them 4 stars rather than 5 is because when we took the suit to the tailors for alterations, there was a small seam that came undone. Nothing a seamstress couldn't quickly fix though.

I actually won 10 free tickets to see Tony n Tina's Wedding in New York City (I believe they also have casts in Chicago and Las Vegas and a few other locals). It's an interactive play, where you eat dinner (Italiano) at the reception of the Tony and Tina's wedding. Dinner was buffet style (wish they would have served more food), the champagne toast and wedding cake is also included, and dancing. It was a bit raunchy, but for a casual, fun night out with the girls, it was great.

May is such a warm, sweet person. She might be soft spoken, but she really know what she's doing! I went in for a trial a few days before the wedding, I brought in a few photos to give her an idea of what I like, but gave her lee way to do her thing. She did not disappoint! She nailed the look on the trial. Wedding day, she was very prompt (even though I wasn't) and started immediately on the mom's hair & make up. Everybody looked great and the make up lasted all day. She also has airbrush make up and lashes.

While most people probably used Germaine's Luau as a welcome dinner spot or for their rehearsal dinner, we used Germaine's for our "reception. We had a very small destination wedding (20 guests) and opted to take everyone to a luau instead. Germaine's was very accommodating. They gave us a group discount, reserved 2 tables for us (usually it's first come, first serve for seating), and welcomed and congratulated us. We were even "dragged" on stage for our first dance. You get 3 free drinks with your meal, but the bartenders kept giving the mister and I free congratulatory drinks. They were very generous (and the drinks were awesome!). I've been to the "other" luau on the island, and this one is more laid back and has more of a sense of humor.
