We spent a week at the Dunn's River location. My husband describes it as "the best time of my life". It was amazing. I would recommend this resort a thousand times over. All inclusive and no kids is the way to go!!! The resort was empty so that was great. All the food was wonderful. The brick oven pizza place was a daily stop for us. Drinking at the swim up bars is really fun. The staff was amazing. We only did one excursion, climbing Dunn's River Falls. That was super fun and we recommend it. Excursions cost extra and this one was about $35 per person. Getting there is a pain. After you get off the plane it is another 1.5 hour bus ride to the resort. But no the ride is not scary. We are already saving to go back. It was absolutely wonderful.
I ordered a really cheap ivory elbow length veil with ribbon edge. It was very affordable and arrived super fast. The tulle wasn't the softest ever, but for what I paid I didn't care. The comb was cool because it attached with velcro so you could flip things around depending on how you wanted to insert it in your hair. The ribbon wasn't the right ivory, so my mom cut it off and added a rolled satin edge. It did the job.
I designed my boudoir picture book myself and printed it thru Blurb. The prices and packages are better than Mypublisher in my opinion. Shipping was a little slower, but the quality is great. You can also find coupon codes, especially at retailmenot.com. Plus you can image wrap the cover and they have a 7x7 square book option.

I put a bunch of our engagement pictures in a book with lots of white space for signing. Mypublisher's program is limited in its options and I think the price is a little high for what you get. Overall the quality was fine and the shipping was fast. Guests loved seeing our pictures and now we have a cute way to keep our e-pics and the guestbook.

There aren't many places that have affordable personalized steins for the groomsmen gifts, so EW was our only option really. Price and shipping were fine but we weren't happy because a couple had bad scratches. EW immediately replaced them free and we kept the damaged ones. But the new ones weren't perfect either and we were giving them out that night. But the guys LOVED them and drank out of them all night at the wedding.

Rev. Goodrum did an excellent job. He has a great speaking voice and seems very comfortable with what he does. He actually works for a church/mission group and grew up in the Catholic faith. We wanted as Catholic of a ceremony as possible outside the actual church. He completely understood where we were coming from and we were able to customize the ceremony. He also conducted our rehearsal.
He even had a spare pen in his pocket when we went to sign the marriage license and our special pen was dead. I would recommend him for religious and non-religious ceremonies.

No complaints. $20 off each tux, free groom's. Used the Men's Wearhouse in Novi, Michigan, south of the expressway. The guys looked HOT. And they all said many times how much they loved the shadow stripe Calvin Klein tux.

Ugh David's Bridal right? Nope! Using their website only, we were able to get the most adorable dresses. The price was decent and the fit was surprisingly good. A couple girls needed minor bust alterations and that was it. I picked a short strapless dress from their new party dress collection so that the girls could actually wear it again. I know a lot of brides say that, but this time its true. I kinda want to steal a dress for myself. I got lots of compliments on them. Issues:
1. It was a pain getting all 4 dresses since they were in such high demand being brand new. I think supply has now caught up with the demand.
2. The beading on the dress tended to stick together when sitting, so they had to check each other to make sure the dress didn't ride up.
3. There was a ... wardrobe malfunction. Hey, that's the risk you run with a strapless dress!

I originally found my dress at Bella Bridal in West Bloomfield... but it was $1000 there... sheeesh. So I called around and found it for $850 and Alessandra's and ended up buying the sample for around $600. So... obviously I think their pricing was decent. I still think that is too much to pay for one friggin dress, but hey... I'm the bride right? Linda was my salesperson, but she retired. Loved her. Overall I have mixed feelings about this store. They never did anything wrong, and I don't think they are really any different than most bridal shops. They hugged me at the final fitting, which I thought was weird. I thought the alterations were overpriced, but at that point I just said... ehhh whatever. I had a hem and a french bustle done, seemed fine to me. I just get annoyed when I have to wait around when they were super busy when I went in for my first and final fittings.

I seriously love Anita. She is adorable. I never met with her, and booked her off of knottie recs and samples I received. She had the perfect shade of blue and her prices were incredibly reasonable. We did everything over email, which was great for me. I met her the day of when she came to set things up. She was so sweet and excited. She completely got what I wanted and we really didn't have to discuss things. She just did it and it turned out PERFECT. She even left some extra fabric (free) in case I thought of something last minute. She came at the end of the night to pick up everything so I didn't need to worry about storing and returning things. (Set up and tear down were included, and no travel fees). I love Anita. My mom was going to make all the linens because she is awesome, but when she saw Anita's prices she was shocked and totally agreed that renting was well worth it. I can confidently say that you should book The Linen Closet, with or without meeting with them.... Anita really is that good.
