I loved J. Crew for my bridesmaid dresses. They have so many styles to choose from. My bridesmaid wore dresses in the same color but different styles. They are definitely dresses that can be worn again. The staff at J. Crew are great. They waived shipping and I used a 20% off coupon. They will also send color swatches.

We used Mark Brooke for our engagement shots and they did a fantastic job! Mark and Candice are a young, energetic married couple. They put us at ease right away. The photo session went by really fast and we love the result. These are pictures we will always treasure. We were bummed they could not photograph our wedding but we got married in Costa Rica and used a local photographer. I would highly recommend them for a wedding or engagement photo session, especially if you want unique/ creative photos.

Great place to shop, bad place to buy.

Mon Amie is a great place to try on dresses. They have a big selection. The salespeople are pushy but not too bad. I ended up finding my dress there. I negotiated a better price at another bridal shop but Mon Amie offered to match the price. I decided to buy the dress there (Jim Hjelm 8800) because I had liked my salesperson and felt somewhat obligated. I regret buying from them.

Once I bought my dress the salesperson stopped returning any of my calls. The dress came in 2 months late and the customer service people were so rude. I had a $200 store credit that I used for alterations. They charged me $700 for bringing a dress in, hemming it, and adding a bodice. The dress had no beading. The alterations price seemed outrageous but I felt forced to use them because of the $200 store credit and since my dress came in so close to my wedding.

Another random gripe- they gave the dress to me in a cheap garment bag that was dirty. No one would even helped me to my car and the dress got some dirt on it. I was able to clean it out but I had to go to Alfred Angelo to buy a new garment bag to transport it because Mon Amie did not return any of my calls. I just found the level of service for such an expensive purchase very lacking. I would go someplace else with more personable staff.

Definitely lives up to the hype! I got a simple veil from Candi. It was so great to go to her house and try on different styles. She is so nice and easy to talk to. The veil she sent got lost in the mail (through no fault on her part). She was so accommodating and apologetic. She sent a replacement right away and communicated everything very well. She made what was a stressful situation (it was a week before my wedding) so smooth based on her professionalism. My veil was perfect and very affordable.

Hello! Lucky is my favorite wedding vendor! Working with them is so easy and I adore my invitations. I live in L.A. and didn't love any places I checked out in my area. I am so glad I decided to stop into the Hello! Lucky store on a trip to San Francisco. It is amazing! I met with Sabrina, one of the owners. She asked me a few questions and then everything she pulled for me was great. She showed me the right amount of choices without overwhelming me and really seemed to understand my style. She was SO patient and helpful. She answered countless questions during our meeting and by e-mail after. You can definitely order without going into the store but I ended up falling in love with a design in person that I had overlooked online (L'Oiseau). I am using them for my thank yous (just got them) and day of stationary as well.

I debated between Letterpress and Digital and ended up going with Digital. They look great! I am glad I saved all the extra money and still have invitations I love. I get so many compliments on them and cannot say enough good things about Hello! Lucky and Sabrina. Thank you!!

Do NOT use El Velo Photography!!! JuanCarlos, the owner, mostly shoots in Costa Rica but he occasionally does weddings in the US as well.

I am furious! We met with several photographers and really liked JuanCarlos (owner of El Velo) for his professionalism. What a joke!! After weeks of negotiating a price and other specifics he suddenly reneged our agreement with no notice and lied about the reason! He says the quote his office staff gave was too low, when in reality we found out that he booked another wedding that would pay more.

Do no use him!! He is a liar and so unprofessional. If he was in the US I would be on the phone with the Better Business Bureau now. If I could give him 0 stars I would.
