(Note: The estimated $500 I spent was for a $200 dress - see review)
I purchased a bridesmaid dress from B Ella last spring. When we first visited and made the intial purchases the staff was WONDERFUL. Very helpful in finding a dress style that would fit and flatter all of the girls.
However the entire experience quickly turned into a NIGHTMARE. When I got the dress home it was actually sewn crooked. I understand this was a manufacturer issue but as the rep for the company you'd think they'd have been bending over backwards to help especially since we were on a tight timeframe. I scheduled my appt w/ alterations and when I went in was told she'd have to look at it further to see if it was even fixable. Being that'd I'd spent $200 on the dress I was very anxious.
I had to call and call and call before even being told to come back and do a second look now that she'd pinned and let out some of the dress. She'd need to see it on me to see if there was enough fabric to fix the issue.
I left the second alterations appt still unsure if I had a dress. Again I called and called for an update. When I did speak with someone I was brushed off. Finally I was told she wasn't comfortable altering the dress. At this point the wedding was just over a week away and I had to insist they help me. No one jumped to help me. It was absolutely ludicrous. The owner finally arranged for another business to take the dress and so kindly (note sarcasm) offered to deliver it there for me. (Big help since I'd already driven the hours drive there about five times for NOTHING).
He assured me he'd spoke to the owner of the other company, that she was well aware of the issue and my time constraints and would take good care of me. When I got to my first fitting with them they HAD NO IDEA. I then had to make about three trips for initial, second, and final fitting - all the week of the wedding. Not to mention the time, stress and gas, but the work they had to do to the dress totalled another $100. I left several messages insisting they help with the alterations cost or refund me for the piece of crap dress they sold me and pawned off on someone else but was never give a call back.
Though the dresses are beautiful and the salon charming (and even the staff before the sale) I wouldn't advise any bride to run the risk of feeling the stress this caused. A sever lack of accountability and customer service.
