Liza is an all around great person and stylist. She was a huge help the day of and did the most amazing job on my hair. She came to me in the hotel and even made a run to the store before she arrived. She did an impromptu hair cut on one of my bridesmaids (instant bangs!) She stayed around until I headed out the door to the ceremony, helping in any way she could. We changed my hair style at the last minute and she just went with the flow. She did an amazing job, the hair stayed in place perfectly all night. Liza was a blessing to have.

We got Maggie through a friend, she was okay but I think a little inexperienced, she seemed flustered and when she announced us for the first time she FORGOT our last name (and she knows the groom!), it’s actually kind of funny now. She also made a comment after one of the speeches that wasn’t appropriate. If you don’t care a ton about your DJ and want someone affordable, she’s probably a good choice.

Greenlake is an artistic jewelry store that allows you to custom make your rings. My husband and I were able to work closely with them to get exactly what we wanted. The experience was amazing and now every time I look at my ring I remember the two of us creating it together.

2 ½ on the day of… 3 ½ afterwards
The cupcakes were good, but HORRIBLE customer service. We reserved the square cupcake stand 6 months in advance, and had to sign all these release forms for it, 5 days before the wedding they called to say whoever picked up would have to sign more forms for the stand (it was kind of silly) but then on the wedding day they completely forgot to give us the stand. I called them on my way to the ceremony to have someone there deliver it to us and after 10 minutes on hold, she told me I would have to come in to get it myself! I told her I was on my way to the ceremony and she said they could not deliver it, no one had a car (yeah, right), I insisted and by the time they finally got there, all my guests were seated and I was about to walk down the aisle, and they still insisted that they talk to the bride!! After contacting them a few weeks later, the owner did apologize and tried to make it up to me. I appreciated the effort, but if you use them, make sure to double check everything!!!

I got a fantastic deal on a Melissa Sweet dress; I couldn’t believe how many compliments I got. You should really check out e-bay if you don’t mind a second-hand dress.

I have to say, these invites came out amazing! We are still getting compliments and a friend even asked if she could model hers after mine. It was a lot of work but totally worth it and easy to add your own personal touch to them.

Darcy is great, I bought my dress used and was told a stain wouldn’t come out, Darcy sent it to a great cleaners and it came back clean. She’s fast and affordable. The only problem that I had was she NEVER measured me, so I had to make a few extra trips back because the alterations weren’t right, she altered my chest instead of the ribs, which made the dress too big in the chest. I had to get extra padding and a WHOLE lot of fabric tape on the big day.

(Uptown branch)I really wanted to give Stacy an A, but on the wedding day she knew we were on a tight schedule, made a big deal about getting great directions from me and was only 2 miles away from the venue and yet I get a call an hour before the wedding to hear I have no florist and no flowers. She arrived 45 minutes late and never called or told us why, in addition she used a new ribbon on my bouquet and didn’t color test (even though she had me color test the original ribbons) and I got red dye on my dress before the day even began! She’s a nice lady and I’m sure she worked hard, but I was VERY disappointed.

Yvonne’s fantastic! She and her husband went above and beyond and stayed for nearly 12 hours!!! She’s hard working and very creative. It’s been a year since we were married, and I am still receiving rave review for her photos, they are a work of art.

What everyone says is true, LUC is incredible! Dann was my savor, the venue was beautiful, great food and my guests are still raving. They are a well oiled machine there, ready for anything!
