Most importantly, the food was amazing.

We had a buffet style wedding and are very happy with how everything went. Michelle helped us save money without impacting the vision of the wedding.

I would really like to be invited to a wedding that has critic's choice as their caterer because I didn't have enough time to eat and enjoy the food. (if you haven't gotten married yet you will know what I mean when your wedding is over)

They were also very helpful providing a bar package so we could provide the alcohol and drinks and pay a fee for the ice and glasses, saving us a lot of money.

Catering was the largest expense for our wedding but every guest loved the entire experience and gave very positive reviews of the food after the wedding.

My one recommendation would be to make sure that they set aside apps for you while you get pictures taken. I never got a crab cake!

Very Easy to work with.

AMAZING FOOD

I was so excited to try Helen Wirth. I filled out the online request form and indicated that we were interested in cupcakes and a small cake to cut. When I called to schedule an appt, I made it clear that we were interested in cupcakes.

We arrived (after an hour in LA traffic) at the bakery. We were then brought out 6 samples of cake, not cupcakes. The woman at HW was very apologetic and was not aware this tasting was for cupcakes. She brought me out one cupcakes that they had prepared for an event that was covered in fondant and did not look appealing. She suggested that I wasn't clear in my request for tasting.

While the design of the wedding cakes we saw were beautiful and artistic, the cakes we tasted were not very good.

Of course, as brides and women with careers, any time we take to work on our wedding is precious time. This "tasting" certainly let me down and I would not trust this company with getting any order correct if they had difficulty organizing a tasting.

Our wedding is in October '09 and I am thrilled to have Dave as our photographer! We met him at his charming home/studio for the consultation. He happily agreed to hold the date for us while we interviewed other photographers and would let us know if someone else asked for our date. No one else compared to Dave's documentary style and easy-going personality. An engagement photo session on the beach is part of the package and he responds promptly to any questions we have. Of course, I will update this review once our engagement session takes place, but have no worries!

The salon is beautiful and spacious. Second shop for me to try in the search for the prized wedding dress and I was optimistic about my sales associate. I was extremely interested in one of the dresses, however, I inquired as to whether adjustments could be made to the remove some of the detailing on the train and possibly the fabric. Her manager called the designer while I was in the store and I was told I would receive a call back regarding my question. I have yet to hear back, but don't believe it's the right dress for me. The sales associate also suggested I order dresses that I did not "love" and have drastic alterations made through her store, with no promise the dress would look as I would like. All in all, I did not like this approach.

This was the first place I went to try on dresses and overall it was a stress-free experience. I loved the layout of the store and the stage to try on the dresses. My only complaint would be that the sales person seemed fairly inexperienced and I really needed some greater direction. I will consider returning as my search continues....
