Flowers were the most important part of my day next to my groom. I reiterated that over and over to my florist, orchids and tropical florals were my choice for the day, with roses for bulk only. After our second meeting with the florist to go over the centerpieces, she didn't use the right flowers and I asked her to redo them.(though I received attitude from her more than once) I reiterated that I didn't want to be surprised the day of my wedding. I almost fired her then, but gave her a second chance. She did redeem herself the third time we met, so I kept the contract. I wish I wouldn't have. The day of my wedding, the reception turned out, but the ceremony was not at all what I requested. She ONLY used roses at the ceremony with a max of about 80 of them with greenery. Inside I was furious, but what do you do? How hard is it to add a bloom or two of a cymbidium orchid or a calla lily? Not hard at all. I know what flowers cost and my ceremony was so skimpy and quite frankly I got ripped off. Devastating to a bride. However, I had no recourse because of her contract stating no refunds are given if you are unhappy with your service. I should have known. DONT GET FOOLED, DONT USE LAVENDER HILL FOR YOUR WEDDING!
I was referred to Tiffany Briggs through a friend and was able to go to the MAC store for my trials for the wedding in October. She is fabulous. She knows what colors would enhance your natural features and she is very detailed and thorough. Check out her site and give her a call. :)
Icing on the Ring in Los Angeles is a class act! We saw an add on The Knot and drove up to LA from OC one Saturday. We spent over an hour looking at rings and Raffi was totally patient with us, answering all of our questions. We decided we wanted them to design my engagement ring. We were able to draw up a ring on CAD and they worked from there. We had an appt to select our center stone and they pulled about 8 stones for us to choose from. They all had certification papers and they went through all the due diligence to show us everything about the diamond from color, clarity, cut, & carat weight. We were able to see them under high powered microscopes and special lighting to see all of the flaws, so we could make the best decision for us. They created the ring in a wax model and then the final ring. We went with a platinum setting and it was immaculate!! We worked with Raffi, Vic and their father and they all treat their customers with the best customer service. We will be going back to have them design my wedding band and pick out the Groom's band as well. Besides all of this, their prices... you can't beat them! Don't risk it by going to any other store in the LA jewelry district!
