I want to start off by saying that Highland Manor would have gotten a 5-star review from me had I been able to work with the wedding coordinator that was there during the last month or so before our wedding for the entire planning process. Unfortunately, that was not the case and it was a little unsettling that the Manor failed to inform us that a change had been made, even if it did turn out to be for the better. The previous wedding coordinator had not kept good track of our wedding details and we had to re-do the majority of our plans with the new coordinator, just a couple weeks before our wedding. Hopefully, the personnel issues are resolved at the Manor now, because it is a very nice venue that just needs good people working there.
Other than that, we were happy that we chose the Manor as our venue. The food is delicious, the ballroom is gorgeous with its giant crystal chandeliers and gold Chiavari chairs, the ceremony site options are lovely, and the bridal dressing room is spacious. It was a beautiful place to have pictures taken at; the house and the lush oak trees provided wonderful backdrops. We chose to have our ceremony underneath the huge oak tree in front of the house and it came out great in photos. Our guests raved about how pretty the place was and everyone thought the food was yummy (we offered a choice of herb-roasted chicken breast or grilled tenderloin of beef). The Manor has several wedding packages, some of which include a complimentary cocktail hour with open bar and passed appetizers. They were flexible when it came to which vendors we used and the decorations we wanted to put up. I would recommend Highland Manor to anyone looking for an elegant Southern feel for their wedding venue.

We were referred to Jen Adams by our DJ, who knew it was important for me to have a photographer that was easy to work with and who would take beautiful, natural-looking photos for us. We were also looking to not spend a fortune for photography. That being said, Jen Adams was the most perfect fit for us. I immediately loved Jen's personality and she does a great job of displaying her work for clients to see. The photo packages are very reasonably priced and videography can be added in as well. Jen always answered my emails quickly and was professional in every sense of the word. She took our wedding photos, as well as our engagement photos. We were so happy with the way all the pictures turned out. Jen was wonderful to work with on our wedding day, even lending a hand to get everyone on track while she took pictures. We were very impressed at all the angles she got of the ceremony, she managed to put everyone in the best poses for the pictures of our families, and she took more than enough pictures of every detail! I've gotten many compliments on our wedding photos and we're looking forward to having Jen take more pictures of us and our family in the future.

My husband, dad, and the best man all got their tuxes for the wedding from the store near the Millenia Mall in Orlando. The service wasn't the best; for instance, there was quite a wait and a couple of the guys working there discussed how horrible marriage was in front of them, which they thought was quite unprofessional. However, the tuxes came in on time and looked great, so that was all ok. Their colors match the colors that David's Bridal has, so it was easy to coordinate with my bridesmaid dresses.

We ordered our wedding cake and cupcakes from It's Tasty Too and they were both so delicious! I've had many people tell me how good the dessert was. Our cake turned out wonderfully, exactly what we wanted, and I was impressed that it didn't cost us an arm and a leg. I originally thought we were going to get a white cake and then when we met, Heather suggested doing a soft yellow to match my bridesmaid dresses and I'm so glad we went with that. It looks so lovely in pictures. We also wanted sugar orange blossoms on the cake and they were beautifully made. One of the things I like the most is that we didn't have to save our top tier because Heather will make us a new one on our one year anniversary. We'll definitely be getting our special occassions cake from here from now on!

My bridal gown and bridesmaids' dresses came from David's Bridal and we had nothing but great service everytime we went in. For all three of my appointments, I had Jackie as a consultant and she was very nice and helpful. She pulled all the dresses that I had pointed out to her in the catalog and there were a lot of them! She also kept track of the dresses that I liked the best as I tried them on. I was really happy with the dress I chose; it wasn't terribly expensive and it photographed beautifully. Also, everything we ordered (my dress, veil, headpiece, and my bridesmaid dresses) came in much quicker than the date they gave us. Since it is David's Bridal, you have to be prepared for it to be really busy sometimes, especially if you go in on the weekend. It can be crazy in there, but the staff will definitely make sure you get good service.

When we started looking for a DJ, it was very important to us to find someone that was going to make our wedding a lot of fun for our guests and who wouldn't be cheesy or over-the-top. Music was something that we put a lot of thought into. White Rose was actually the first company we met with and we booked them immediately. We knew we would be getting a service that was highly customized for us. We had two meetings with them after booking, the first of which was to choose all of our music we wanted played for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. I was really impressed with the music selection process; it's pretty involved and I think it really gives them a feel for the type of couple you are and what music you and your guests are going to respond to. The second meeting was just a few days before the wedding and we made a few changes at the last minute and it was no problem.
The wedding day itself went off without a hitch. They played wonderful music and actually had our families up dancing for most of the night. I had been worried that not many people would dance! We paid extra to have Dan as our MC and I'm so glad we did. He was awesome and even set up a few extra uplights in the room to make the effect more dramatic. I had so many people tell me how great the music was and what a great time they had. I really can't say enough about the experience we had with White Rose. They are highly recommended!

My maid of honor suggested I visit this shop for alterations after I was quoted more than I wanted to pay at a bridal shop. All I needed done was a French bustle and it cost me less than half of what I was quoted elsewhere. It's a small shop, but the service was great, the seamstress is experienced and very nice, and my alterations were done quickly. Both my bridesmaids had their dresses hemmed here as well and they came out perfectly. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs simple alterations and doesn't want to pay a crazy price!

I was very happy with how my invitations turned out from this vendor. They have a great selection (it was hard to choose!) and lots of font and color options. The ordering process was simple and shipping was quick. The biggest perk for me was the price though. I had seen very expensive invitations out there and I was really happy with the prices at The American Wedding. I believe we spent just over $200 for 100 invitations, response cards, reception cards, and thank yous. The invitations were elegant and a lot of guests have told us how pretty they thought they were!
