Though I was confident I could do most of the “planning” myself, I thought it wise to hire someone for the day of the even. I was on limited budget, and initially concerned about spending money on a planner. I can now say that this was the most important thing we did and I worth infinitely more than we paid! Stephanie, from One Fine Day, was incredibly helpful throughout the planning process in finding vendors, reviewing contracts, and providing guidance to help us plan for the kind of wedding we wanted on a budget. All the planning aside, her ability to realize an event is what really sets her apart!
There was an alarming turn of weather on my wedding day. After weeks of perfect, clear, sunny days – the morning was cold, cloudy, and sprinkling on and off – not ideal for an outdoor wedding. As I got ready for the wedding, Stephanie was running around making contingency plans, monitoring the weather, and checking in with me every half hour or so with updates. I KNEW things were under control. Her ability to take the reigns made it so I did not worry at all and could enjoy the morning getting ready with my girlfriends. When we had to change set-ups she even negotiated with the somewhat testy vendors to ensure that I was not charged extra for moving things around or use of extra equipment. I really do not know what we would have done without her. I can honestly say that my wedding day was PERFECT – even if it didn’t end up being exactly as we had planned.
Stephanie was a pleasure to work with and I know we will long be in touch. She is definitely an expert with both the experience and ingenuity necessary to help create an amazing wedding for any bride (and groom)-to-be. I now laugh at myself for ever considering to undertake this by myself!
