Photography was by far the most important aspect of our wedding, and Todd did not disappoint. We were especially happy to hear that he stayed on site for an unlimited timeframe, so in other words, he stayed until he thought he captured everything he needed to capture. Todd was very professional and unobtrusive. I barely even remember him being around and when I saw my pictures for the first time, I did not even realize he was taking those pictures. Although, I have to admit that I liked my candid pictures a tad bit more than the posed pictures, as he did an awesome job capturing the moment and the emotion.
We received over 1500 images on disc and as 4x6 proofs. As the other PWer’s have mentioned, he is a bit pricier than some of the other photographers we met with; but if you have the budget, then I would highly recommend Todd.
John is a very experienced DJ and that put me at ease since I really didn't do that much research on this area. He was professional and very responsive. About 3 weeks before the wedding, we met to review music selection and timelines. He provided music for our reception and sound engineering for our ceremony. DH's cousin played our ceremony music on an electric piano, and John was able to amplify the music. He also has state of the art equipment; our officiant wore an earpiece for a microphone, which was great, so that we didn't have an obtrusive microphone stand in our pictures.
He also has a extensive music collection and is very knowledgeable in all genres. We had about 20 minutes of ballroom dancing duirng our reception, so we left it up to him to choose that music. As for the rest of the reception music, he made recommendations; he knew what songs would get teh guests dancing versus which ones weren't crowd pleasers. He was good about keeping us on schedule and was able to adjust as necessary.
Overall, I would recommend John's services.
DH and I wanted a non-denominational wedding and found Kathy from Heartfelt Weddings based on a recommendation from a friend. She is such a sweet lady, and I was happy to have her as part of my wedding. When we initally met with Kathy, she reviewed her sample ceremonies, how to get your marriage license, provided suggestions on how the weddng party should stand, a to-do list for changing your name, and a list of items to complete after the wedding (for example, request a copy of your license). Since she provides sample ceremonies, DH and I were able to mix and match from the samples we liked to create our ceremony. DH and I chose to do our own vows, so she reviewed them prior and made suggestions. She also puts together a keepsake book of the ceremony which she gave to us after the ceremony. One small detail that I totally did not expect was that she asked if it was OK if she wore a brown suit. I thought this was very considerate of her to do, so that we weren't caught off guard by her clothing color and gave us piece of mind that she wasn't going to show up in a bright pink suit! I thought she peformed the ceremony beautifully and would highly recommend her.

- I rented table clothes and napkins
- Enormous selection and great variety
- I thought I could "drop-in" to veiw products (Burlingame, CA location), but their showroom was booked (twice I did this), so be sure to make an appointment to view.
- They didn't have enough tableclothes in my color, so I had to rent "garden" tableclothes (have holes in center for umbrellas), but not a big deal since the centerpiece covered the hole. Also, b/c they did not have enough in my color, some of the tableclothes were slightly more faded/worn then the others.
- Saved money by picking up and dropping off, instead of having them delivered.

I ordered all the materials for my invites from here: pocketfolds, inserts, and backings. Their prices are super affordable, especially the pocktfolds. You can order swatches and sample suites from them so that you can view colors. Overall, I had an excellent experience w/them. When I initially received my package, I took a quick glance at my pocketfolds and assumed it was right. Well, 4 months passed, and I was ready to bring them out to do my invites, when I reazlied they were the wrong color brown! I reviewed their exchange/return policy, and it was passed the allotted time. So, of course, I had a bridezilla moment. I emailed the vendor and explained the situation, and they were super accomodating and let me exchange the pocketfolds w/no penalty. Great customer service experience.
- Cupcakes were delicious and a big hit!
- Devin, the owner of the company, was very easy to work with and offered suggestions since I had never seen a cupcake tower in person
- Prices were comparable to other cupcake companies
- For the top layer, we wanted a 6-inch cake, and she was able to accomdate that for us.
- She delivered and provided samples so that we could try the different cupcake flavors and frostings
- We had a couple meetings beforehand to discuss vision, colors, flavors, set-up, etc.
- She arrived promptly day of wedding and frosted the cupcakes on site
Overall, I would highly recommend this company if you're looking to serve cupcakes at your wedding.
Nicole was my most favorite vendor to work with. She’s easy going, makes suggestions, and works within your budget. She totally turned my vision into a reality, and this was with limited guidance. I basically told her that I wanted my flowers to look vibrant, lush, and to pop with color. When you first meet with her, she notes what flowers you like/don’t like; she also offers suggestions on which flowers go with each other and which ones are in season. I really wanted peonies but since they’re spring flowers and would probably drive up the cost of my bouquet, she made the suggestion of using dahlias and ranculas, which are just as vibrant and big. When I saw my final bouquet, I was super happy with the results.
Also, to stay within my budget, she re-used the ceremony flowers (pomander balls from aisle decor) as part of the centerpieces for the reception.
She also does a mock-up of your centerpieces a couple weeks before the wedding, where you can make changes, suggestions, etc. The minute I saw them, I was in awe. If I had to do my wedding all over, I would hire Nicole again in a heartbeat.

I bought my hair accessories from Paris Connection. Marie, I believe, she's the owner, was very, very helpful. I told her what I was looking for and she pulled out different hair accessories for me to try on. I made a weekday appointment and she kindly stayed late so that I didn't have to leave work early to make the appt.
I ended up buying two hairpins for $50, and they looked absolutely beautiful in my hair.
I absolutely love Sherrie’s work, and I’ve had the pleasure of having her do my hair and make-up twice! Once as a bridesmaid for my friend’s wedding and, of course, my wedding. She arrived promptly with her team and did make-up and hair for me and my five bridesmaids. Best of all, she is super accommodating. My original contract stated that each bridesmaid would only get one service done; however, on the day of the wedding, one of the BM asked if she could get two services done instead. The other bridesmaids followed suit, and being her flexible-self, Sherrie and her team were able to accommodate our request. My entire wedding party looked absolutely beautiful!
Sherrie is very experienced; I was able to give her a few adjectives for the look I wanted, and she was able to run with it. I’m not used to having a lot of make-up on my face since I barely wear any on a daily basis. I wanted Sherrie to enhance my natural look so that I looked more put together, without looking overly done. The make-up did not feel heavy; it did not feel like I had layers and layers of make-up on; it felt like I was wearing nothing at all, which is the best feeling in the world! My make-up lasted the entire night (from 9:30am – 11:30pm), not once did I need to reapply (except lipstick). I received many compliments that night!
My hair almost made it through the entire night; one little piece of hair from the bottom fell out. But that was my fault b/c I had not grown out my hair long enough, but I don’t think anyone could really tell. She also made adjustments to my updo based on the trial we had to better suit the shape of my face.
I just received my professional pictures and looking through them re-confirms my love for her work; she did an excellent job making me and my bridal party look our best that day!

My overall experience at Amy Kuschel was excellent. I ordered my dress the second time I visited, and I believe you receive $150 off the dress price if you purchase w/in two visits. I selected the Marion! The consultant was very knowledgeable about the fabrics, dress types, and overall process. Amy Kuschel's dresses are very classic, simple silhouettes, and stunningly beautiful!
What sold me on Amy Kuschel was the fact that they custom make the dress. I’m a very petite person and finding a dress that fit my proportions was very difficult. Any other place, I would have had to order the dress in a pre-determined size and then alter the dress to fit me. With Amy Kuschel, the dress was made from the ground up, starting with the pattern and custom made to fit my measurements. I had about 4 fittings, each lasting not more than 30 minutes. In fact, my 2nd dress fitting was a mere 10 minutes b/c the dressmaker did such a fantastic job making my dress with my measurements. I also had intricate pleating on the bodice, so the dressmakers used my bustier to mold the pleats and to ensure they laid perfectly.
The only hiccup was that I did not have my shoes during the 1st fitting, so I had to come back in two weeks for a shoe check, and I was charged for that.
Overall, I was very, very happy with the final dress. My dress fit me like a glove; the length of the dress was perfect. Also, it was strapless, and not once did I have to "pull" my dress up.
