Nicole was my most favorite vendor to work with. She’s easy going, makes suggestions, and works within your budget. She totally turned my vision into a reality, and this was with limited guidance. I basically told her that I wanted my flowers to look vibrant, lush, and to pop with color. When you first meet with her, she notes what flowers you like/don’t like; she also offers suggestions on which flowers go with each other and which ones are in season. I really wanted peonies but since they’re spring flowers and would probably drive up the cost of my bouquet, she made the suggestion of using dahlias, which are just as vibrant and big. When I saw my final bouquet, I was super happy with the results.

Also, to stay within my budget, she re-used the ceremony flowers (pomander balls from aisle decor) as part of the centerpieces for the reception.

She also does a mock-up of your centerpieces a couple weeks before the wedding, where you can make changes, suggestions, etc. The minute I saw them, I was in awe. If I had to do my wedding all over, I would hire Nicole again in a heartbeat.

I bought my hair accessories from Paris Connection. Marie, I believe, she's the owner, was very, very helpful. I told her what I was looking for and she pulled out different hair accessories for me to try on. I made a weekday appointment and she kindly stayed late so that I didn't have to leave work early to make the appt.

I ended up buying two hairpins for $50, and they looked absolutely beautiful in my hair.

I absolutely love Sherrie’s work, and I’ve had the pleasure of having her do my hair and make-up twice! Once as a bridesmaid for my friend’s wedding and, of course, my wedding. She arrived promptly with her team and did make-up and hair for me and my five bridesmaids. Best of all, she is super accommodating. My original contract stated that each bridesmaid would only get one service done; however, on the day of the wedding, one of the BM asked if she could get two services done instead. The other bridesmaids followed suit, and being her flexible-self, Sherrie and her team were able to accommodate our request. My entire wedding party looked absolutely beautiful!

Sherrie is very experienced; I was able to give her a few adjectives for the look I wanted, and she was able to run with it. I’m not used to having a lot of make-up on my face since I barely wear any on a daily basis. I wanted Sherrie to enhance my natural look so that I looked more put together, without looking overly done. The make-up did not feel heavy; it did not feel like I had layers and layers of make-up on; it felt like I was wearing nothing at all, which is the best feeling in the world! My make-up lasted the entire night (from 9:30am – 11:30pm), not once did I need to reapply (except lipstick). I received many compliments that night!

My hair almost made it through the entire night; one little piece of hair from the bottom fell out. But that was my fault b/c I had not grown out my hair long enough, but I don’t think anyone could really tell. She also made adjustments to my updo based on the trial we had to better suit the shape of my face.

I just received my professional pictures and looking through them re-confirms my love for her work; she did an excellent job making me and my bridal party look our best that day!

My overall experience at Amy Kuschel was excellent. I ordered my dress the second time I visited, and I believe you receive $150 off the dress price if you purchase w/in two visits. I selected the Marion! The consultant was very knowledgeable about the fabrics, dress types, and overall process. Amy Kuschel's dresses are very classic, simple silhouettes, and stunningly beautiful!

What sold me on Amy Kuschel was the fact that they custom make the dress. I’m a very petite person and finding a dress that fit my proportions was very difficult. Any other place, I would have had to order the dress in a pre-determined size and then alter the dress to fit me. With Amy Kuschel, the dress was made from the ground up, starting with the pattern and custom made to fit my measurements. I had about 4 fittings, each lasting not more than 30 minutes. In fact, my 2nd dress fitting was a mere 10 minutes b/c the dressmaker did such a fantastic job making my dress with my measurements. I also had intricate pleating on the bodice, so the dressmakers used my bustier to mold the pleats and to ensure they laid perfectly.

The only hiccup was that I did not have my shoes during the 1st fitting, so I had to come back in two weeks for a shoe check, and I was charged for that.

Overall, I was very, very happy with the final dress. My dress fit me like a glove; the length of the dress was perfect. Also, it was strapless, and not once did I have to "pull" my dress up.
