• Our coordinator had a lot of problems with this vendor on the day of the wedding. She had to call them several times to come back to our venue because the lights/gobo design weren’t set up properly. Our gobo was upside down and needed to be corrected. Fortunately our coordinator was able to handle all of these problems with Bella Vista prior to the wedding and none of the guest or bridal party was aware of the problems.

After being very specific about NOT wanting a flute for the ceremony, we ended up with classical guitar and a flute. We were also very specific about wanting them to play Canon in D when the bride walked down the aisle, and rather than playing Canon in D at the appropriate time, they continued to play the song for the bridesmaids/groomsmen instead. We also had an issue with our first dance song. My husband isn’t that comfortable with dancing so we had planned to have our bridal party come out on the dance floor with us approximately a minute into the first dance song. They were supposed to play the entire first dance song. Somehow those instructions got misinterpreted and they only played our first song for one minute and then stopped it abruptly and started to play something else. Needless to stay, we all looked stunned and confused when the music stopped abruptly.

Cathryn Van Breen did our make-up and Shelia did our hair. Overall they did a good job with our hair & make-up, although, we had numerous issues with them.

They showed up a few minutes late and then took another 15 minutes to set up. The hair and make-up took longer than expected so it threw off our time schedule.

They ate our food that was intended for the wedding party which I felt was tacky and unprofessional.

The wedding party & The Studio agency decided against styling my mother-in-law’s hair as planned. If they had styled her hair as planned, we would have been behind schedule even more. The Studio Agency agreed to give us a refund for that service, although, we never received the refund in the mail as promised. I followed up to find out if they sent the refund in the mail and they didn’t even respond.

We paid to have the flower-girl’s hair styled with flowers or an up-do. They brushed her hair but they didn’t add any flowers and it didn’t look any different than it normally does. We felt that we didn’t get any value out of what we spent to have the flower girls hair styled.

I also had problems with the false eyelashes Cathryn put on me. One of them came undone during the ceremony. It would have been a terrible situation but thank god my matron of honor brought eyelash glue with her. We were able to fix the eyelash problem but it took another 15-20 minutes for my MOH to go to her room, get the glue, and fix the eyelash. This extra 15-20 minutes cut into our time for family/group photos.

We were so happy and impressed with Juniper. She more than exceeded our expectations and she did an amazing job with the flowers. She was one of our favorite vendors.

Melissa was one of our favorite vendors. Aside from being a great photographer, she is such a sweet person and great to have by your side on the day of the wedding. We were running a little behind with hair and make-up and I was feeling a little tense. As soon as Melissa was there, I instantly felt more at ease. She has a calming and nurturing presence. On more than one occasion she went above and beyond with non-photography related stuff. When other vendors dropped the ball, she was able to adjust as needed, went out of her way to ensure that everything went smoothly and still managed to stay calm and get great shots. She was very quick to get our proofs on-line after the wedding. We’re still in the process of picking out our favorite photos for the album so we don’t have our completed album yet. Although, I know the album will be wonderful. We have so many great shots to choose from.
