The ordering process was easy and the dress arrived in perfect condition within days of placing the order. My dress was well-made with quality materials. It's also noteworthy that their return policy was very lenient; I had no trouble returning the first dress I ordered after keeping it for over six months. I highly recommend looking on their website if you're looking for a simply and relatively inexpensive wedding dress.
Our first visit to Bridal Trosseau was enjoyable... the girls were really helpful and I ended up falling in love with a Marisa gown, which we ended up buying that day! I loved loved loved my gown and veil from Bridal Trosseau, but unfortunately wasn't as thrilled with the service after that first day. The boutique is TINY which is fine except, there can literally be no more than two brides trying on dresses at a time. So, this made for some uncomfortable fittings because many times I felt rushed like they were trying to get me in and out to make room for the next girl. The fittings is what really made me give such a low rating. I had a total of 3 fittings I think. I was really unhappy with how the dress fit after my initial fitting... it sat way too low in the bust area so it felt like I had to keep pulling it up (which is not attractive for a bride to be doing all night long). They kept telling me that this is "how Marisa gowns fit"... which was really frustrating to me because they were basically telling me to get used to it because this is how it was going to be. I decided to bring my mom to the second fitting (for a second opinion) to which she immediatly agreed that the bust still was sitting way too low. By the end of the second fitting, I told them that I don't care how it's "supposed to fit". I needed to feel comfortable in my wedding dress. So, long story short (kinda) is by the third fitting... my dress finally fit. I'll be honest, though, in saying that I felt very uncomfortable and pressured during the final fitting to comply and basically "settle" with the fitting of my gown. The woman kept telling me that I NEEDED to wear a corset even though I already had cups sewn into my dress (mind you, I am very petite with barely any bust at all). I couldn't help but wonder if this could actually be because they wanted to sell me a corset (crazy right?). So, I noticed during the final fitting that the corset was showing slightly when I moved certain ways. I suggested perhaps I not wear one at all or maybe they alter it more to have it cut lower... but they assured me it wouldn't be an issue and almost acted as though I was overreacting. The day of the wedding, it ended up (just barely) showing in a bunch of pictures. I spent too much energy worring about it (not showing) the day of the wedding... and though I admit I was slightly neurotic about it, it shouldn't have been on my mind at all that day. So, moral of the story is... no matter how uncomfortable you are made to feel... don't settle until your gown fits perfectly!
