While the dresses were beautiful, the prices for alterations were ridiculous. If the dresses just need a hem or strap adjustment, it may be more economical to take it to a seamstress and save a few hundred dollars. There's a great place in Kingston called Alterations by Liza I think, and she is very reasonable. The only thing they'll tell you at David's though, is that once you take the dress from the store it's your responsibility to have it adjusted. Also, one of my bridesmaids who had her dress adjusted at David's had her straps break right before the ceremony. My nana-in-law saved the day with some spare thread that held them together again!!

Because we had a Christmas wedding, it limited our invitation selection. We found one we liked on this site that we couldn't find anywhere else. Many of the invitations on this site could be found with other vendors (for example, the same ones were at the bake shop where we got our cake and at printing companies that do invitations). If you find one you like, check out other vendors too so that you get the best pricing for it. Also, our order was sent incomplete. We had ordered seals for the envelopes that never came. When I contacted the company, they reimbursed my credit card but we never got the seals.

The cake was included in our wedding package, but options were limited. If you want flavored cake or a flavored filling, there is an "upcharge" of at least $75. There is also an upcharge if you want a more elaborate cake than what is part of the package. We went for a tasting session and chose the almond flavored cake with raspberry filling - very good! I'm not sure if the cake was big enough to feed all the guests because the slices given out were very small. I'd recommend checking with the bakery if the cake you choose will be big enough for the attendace you're expecting.

We booked our trip to Cancun through Tennenbaum's, and everything went smoothly. We were given a detailed summary of when we had to be where once we arrived in Mexico, and our flights went well. Prices were reasonable, however, be sure to check around to get the best rates.

We went to the Scranton location and Mike was very helpful. They have a great selection there, and when I couldn't decide which of the groomsmen styles to go with he even tried on tuxedos himself so I could see what they would look like paired with what my husband was going to be wearing! That was a great help! The prices were reasonable, and we were pleased with the service.

Wedding packages available and after looking around at other places, the prices were the same. The salon itself is very classy, and the wedding party had a place to set up champagne, muffins, scones, etc. while getting hair and make-up done. The girls were very nice and tried to get exactly what you had in mind done to your hair. Try to book well in advance because they only take one wedding party at a time, so if someone else has your date, you may be out of luck! We all had a nice experience there.

If you're looking for an officiant, not all will travel to your ceremony site. Judge Gibbons is one of the few who will do this that we found. He does not do rehearsals, but sends you the copy of what he reads so you can still rehearse the night before. If you want to add to the ceremony (i.e. readings and unity candle) he is very flexible and just adds it into the ceremony. He was wonderful - made the ceremony humorous at times, serious at times, and has a great way of relaxing the couple getting married. I would definitely recommend using him!

Jack was our DJ, and was more than we had hoped for. He was energetic, got the crowd dancing, was able to "read" the crowd and play the music everyone seemed to get into. He even brought a "back-up" that night because he wasn't feeling well and wanted to ensure that everything would go smoothly if he had to step out for a little. His planning for the evening was exceptional, and a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend using him.

Competitive pricing for services. They really did a great job helping with the planning, setting up for the ceremony and reception, and making everything look beautiful. We received many compliments on how the evening turned out! They were very accommodating with what we had in mind, whereas I've heard that other places won't be flexible (for example, with how we wanted our place cards set up, head table, etc.)
