Let me just start off by saying that my wedding cake was my favorite part of our reception. I actually don't know the actual cost of the cake because it was included in a package deal. I upgraded from the included two-tier cake to a three-tier. There was a HUGE collection of photos on-line for me to choose from and I knew it the minute I saw it. It was BEAUTIFUL! I chose the chocolate cake with coconut cream filling. It exceeded my expectations and I received many compliments from guests. Kathy even surprised my husband and I with chocolate monkeys hanging off our toasting glasses to match our monkey cake topper. Sadly, the top of our cake did not survive a move across country. Our cake was so special to me that I contacted Kathy and she was willing to FedEx a replica of our cake top all the way to South Carolina. She did a lot of leg work on her end getting quotes for shipping, dry ice etc. In the end, the replacement top tier arrived on time for my one-year wedding anniversary, and was just as beautiful and delicious as I remembered. I'm so thankful that this woman went above and beyond for a veritable stranger.

Sunset Gardens is great for the couple on a budget who want a package deal. It was nice that they let me pay for the wedding bit by bit until the day came. The food was excellent. I was not at all happy with the photographer and would recommend spending extra to hire someone else. I didn't like when I showed up when they asked me to for pictures that no one was there to tell us what to do. The photographer was late so my family was standing around not knowing what to do. This turned out to be the most disappointing part of the evening. I was not happy with most of the pictures. I also didn't like the flower vendor that was part of the package (Petals Flower Shoppe). They were rude and waaaay overpriced for the tiny amount of flowers I ordered. Loved working with Michelle from Michelle's Bridal for invitations and accessories, and the cake, (made by Tiers of Joy's Kathy Rude) was exquistie and delicious!
