We were originally not going to hire a videographer, but we kept hearing that it was a must. I am so glad we did and I am so glad that we hired Isabel. I knew that Isabel was for us immediately after watching her demos. It was exactly what we were looking for: not CHEESY at all, affordable, professional and super nice. Our DVD came out perfect. The details were impeccable from the timing of the music to all the elements of the wedding. She honored all of our requests of what we wanted and what we did not want.

This venue is so breathtaking. Even though it’s a museum, it seemed like we were in someone’s backyard. The museum is actually a historic mansion, so it had more of a home feel, rather than a museum feel. We were so excited that we were going to have an outdoor wedding overlooking the ocean. We had the chance of rain that day so we had to go with a clear tent. It was still perfect and beautiful. Things to consider here: They are strict with rules since they are a museum and a historic site. There is a noise ordinance so events must end by 10pm. This was not a problem for us since we had an after party at the hotel lobby bar. Second, you can only host a soft bar. The museum does not hold a liquor license, but that did not stop our friends from getting tipsy. They do have an alternative soju bar, which we opted for. There is an on site wedding coordinator, Hazel, who is wonderful, but you can also use your own. Overall we were very pleased, because although it was a museum, it had a very homey intimate feel.

I loved my Maggie Sottero Channing dress. Wilshire Bridal was great. Rachel, who helped me, found exactly what I was looking for. I told her I wanted something very simple and elegant. The first dress she picked out for me was the one. They also do alterations there. Crinoline and bridesmaid dresses were also purchased at this bridal shop.

We purchased caramel apples in bulk from this company. These were a BIG hit and so affordable. I had been on a quest to find the best prices on caramel apples. Thanks to kchoi, I was able to buy caramel apples without spending a fortune. They tasted soooooo good. It was so easy to order with Cal Snacks. We just called in and put in the order, picked them up, and wrapped them later that night.

Paper Source was my saving grace for DIY paper projects. I made my invitations with their products and they turned out exactly how I wanted them to. I was looking for simple, modern, and chic. Originally I had wanted to have them made, but the Bridezilla-ness in me knew I had to have it a certain way, so I decided to make them myself. Yes it was very time consuming and I realized why invitation companies charge so much: LABOR! Even with all of the laborious heartaches, I don’t regret DIYing the invites. I also used Paper Source for making my programs. They are a bit pricey but definitely worth the money.

Talk about great service for the bride and groom!! If you use Craig’s for your catering service, you will not be disappointed. We had no other choice but to work with Craig's since the museum does not work with outside catering vendors. Craig's is pricey but all about service. Their presentation of food was amazing and the food I heard was great and flavorful. I don't really remember what it tasted like that night. Guests claimed that it was delicious. What is so awesome about them is that the bride and groom have a personal waiter waiting on you from pre ceremony till the end of the night. They took the whole wedding party’s drink order before the ceremony started so that it would be waiting for us after the ceremony. Immediately after the ceremony, while we all met at the back, there they were! Two waiters with a round of drinks for all of us. They had a separate appetizer plate for us also because they knew we would be busy taking pictures. During the reception, the waiter always made sure we had everything we needed. At the end of the night, they packed up two dinners from the wedding, 2 slices of our wedding cake and a bottle of champagne for us to eat as a late night snack/meal. Great service. You can also pick colored linens, no extra charge and they look closely at the weather forecast for you.

Candi is the veil making queen. She is famous on the OC boards. She is the nicest and sweetest lady. She made my fingertip veil in a week for such a great price. She will even ship the veil for you if you don’t have time to pick it up. I had originally had a slightly longer veil made for me. When I received and tried it on, I felt it was too long for me. Candi wanted to make sure I was happy with it and made a shorter veil for me free of charge.

We chose Rossmoor over other bakeries first off because of the taste. I’m not into really sweet cakes, so when we went for our tasting there, I noticed that the cakes were nice and fluffy, but more importantly, not too sweet. Our cake tasted delicious and turned out amazing. We had a chocolate and vanilla mocha latte Bavarian cream cake. I had given them a picture of how I wanted the cake to look like. They did it exactly the way I wanted it. Everyone thought our cake was gorgeous and tasted delicious.
Joyce is amazing. She made me look wonderful. I love her because she takes her time with you, listens to what you want and achieves a masterpiece. She is also the sweetest lady. She always made sure I was happy with what she did for me. Joyce was able to do my engagement photo makeup, my boudoir make up and my wedding make up. Each time it was a slightly different look, but each time it was what I wanted and she made me look glamorous and my skin look flawless. She is definitely worth every penny. You won’t regret it. She will have an emergency kit ready for you for touchups throughout the wedding night. I didn’t really have to use it much, because the products she used on my face lasted the whole night. My bridesmaid’s had their makeup done with Danny. He made my BM’s look wonderful. Not one complaint from any of them.

Danielle Biel was one of the best investments we had made for the wedding. Have you ever met such a down to earth, sweet, person that is so good at what she does? Skye Blu did our engagement photos, my boudoir photos and our wedding photos. I barely ever noticed her and her assistant during the wedding. Like she had told us, she would be like a "fly on the wall". If you are looking for something a little different than the typical wedding picture style, look into her. I loved how our engagement photos came out and she made me feel so glamorous during my photo shoot for boudoir. She always makes you feel so comfortable. I love her edgy, artistic style. She is a believer in film photography (no digital ever with her) and she is amazing at it. I am so utterly happy about the way my pictures came out. What sold me with Danielle is that you will get all of your negatives, all of your proofs, proof albums, and a high resolution CD of your photos. I was so surprised when I received all of my proofs because I did not realize how many photos she had taken that day. The focus on details and the artsy edge was phenomenal. I’m in love with Danielle’s photo taking expertise.
