This place is truly magical! I knew immediately when i got out of the car that this was the place i wanted to be married. We had a very tight budget and at first this seemed perfect, then all the extras added up very fast; dance floor rental, lights and electrical, insurance, plus. So we did end up a little over budget. but i liked that we had the freedom to use whatever vendors we wanted aside from some that they have problems with. Avesta was great. she gets really busy in the summer and isnt as available as you might like, but while i was doing most of my planning in the winter and spring she was readily available. the day of, got a little hectic. we had some problems with the huppah (i was getting ready and only heard about this after the fact) that avesta was very rude and snappy to my mom and bridesmaids. she also gave a tour of the property during set up, and gave these potential clients a little over an hour of my time that i paid for. she did delegate jobs while she was tour guiding, but my bridesmaids were not pleased and felt like they were doing all her work while she was showing off the place. they left the huppah till the last minute and it was a bit of a disaster because it was so windy and I made the poles (not strong enough) my mom had spent months working on the design and hired someone to sew it- it was made very well, but apparently avesta didnt think so and made it clear she didnt think so. the groomsmen held the huppah over us, which in the end created a very special effect. at the end of the night we had to pack everything up in the dark- kind of sucked and we left some things because it was so hectic.
all in all it was a beautiful day, i just wish i hadnt heard so many complaints about avesta. to me she was nice and made the whole day run smoothly, but to others she was not pleasant at all. tread carefully! and good luck!!!

Meg was recommended to us by our DJ. We were on a tight budget, but wanted a photographer that was talented. the solution- young. I had this fantasy that we would find a young photographer that was still really excited about their job and eager enough not to let the ball drop- the key though was that this photographer had to have some experience and be reliable (oh and of course have good images to see!). I combed through so many websites. I knew what i was looking for, beyond the formal shots, i wanted to see pictures of people that looked good, that didn't have their eyes closed or mouth in some weird angel. i wanted to see "snapshot" looking pictures that looked staged, natural, but good composition- like fashion photography. Bingo! Meg was really great! She was so easy to work with and really excited. She is so so so talented and extra reliable. We met a couple of times before our engagement shoot. she was so helpful and sweet, giving me ideas about the decorations and flowers. the engagement shoot was really fun and she definitely made me feel confident she would be great at the wedding. and those shots were so good!! and when we saw the wedding shots posted online we were blown away! she was so creative - we ended up with some really cool pictures. she and her assistants were so stealth-like, they were working so hard and blended right into the crowd. I can not say enough about her, it was a pleasure to work with her and seriously, she is a gem. All you have after that big day are you photographs, Meg allowed us to have some really really great memories in print forever! She was super duper fantastic!!!

Damon was amazing. My husband and I met with him the first time about a year before our wedding. We were immediately impressed and at ease. His knowledge of music is expansive and he clearly had a lot of experience. His personality was very sweet and outgoing, not at all aggressive or dramatic. We Hired him on the spot. We wanted someone that would play the music and help keep the dancing going without trying to insert cheesy DJ. Damon was not cheesy DJ, Damon was awesome DJ! He played the songs for our ceremony, cued perfectly without a snag! played the cocktail hour of the genre we specified (we basically just gave him the genre and he played exactly that! no weird songs that didnt fit) the reception was perfect, everyone danced the entire time- he kept the night moving along so smoothly, no train wrecks. He also recommended other vendors as well, and they all were so great! He was certainly an integral part to our wedding that we will remember forever. I would highly recommend Damon to my best friend. He was outstanding! Very Professional.

Also, my nephew was fascinated by the mixing table and the music that Damon played. He ended up behind the table with Damon wearing a pair of headphones! Damon was so cute to let him "play" DJ, all the while keeping the dance floor packed. My nephew now wants to be a DJ inspired by Damon. He will remember that forever!!
