Cheesecake is awesome, they are very friendly, and it is a great alternative for someone like myself who doesn't like cake very much. You can't even tell the cakes aren't cake!

Went to meet with Pam and she was very nice over the phone and in person. The photos looks awesome , packages are awesome, I can't wait until our wedding!

Reception site is beautiful, Judy is great to work with, food sounds very yummy, everything is pretty much included with the price you pay..alcohol, table settings, multiple rooms to use, dance floor, etc..can't wait for the wedding!

Krippendorf Lodge is a very beautiful lodge with an outdoor wrap around covered patio in the woods. I fell in love with it when my fiance went to view it. I immediately called them the next day to tell them I was interested and they advised me they only book through Elegant Fare Catering. I had a nightmare experience with Elegant Fare; too long of a story to go into. Long story short-when I told the venue about it, it was like they could care less. All I can say is, I'm sure the lodge loses much money from losing people interested in the venue, but not the caterer. Using a different caterer wasn't an option according to them. Needless to say, I did not decide to have my wedding at Krippendorf Lodge, which was a disappintment, althogh a blessing that I figured all this out before it was too late.

I was interested in a certain venue which only used Elegant Fare Catering for a caterer, and the venue did not do their own booking, etc., but rather I had to go through Elegant Fare. I really just wanted to get pricing, etc., so I went to their website, which I believe has been down since June when I got engaged and began looking for a venue (and it is now October and it is still down). So I called the contact lady and left several messages for her to call me concerning pricing, etc. The woman never called me back. After I called the venue to inquire as to what the issue was, they told me to call the "go between". I did, and she was concerned and told me she'd contact the woman and tell her to call me.

The same day, the lady who wouldn't return any of my calls, wrote me a nasty email blaming her not calling me back, on ME!! She said the first phone number I gave her was a fax number (And being in law enforcement, I have NEVER had a convict tell me that I gave them the wrong number....ever). And another time "someone" at my work said they couldn't connect her to me, blah blah. I HAVE A DIRECT LINE AT WORK!! Basically she is a liar, and apprently the company does not put the customer first, but yet, blames me for her not calling me. To this day, she still hasn't called, and the website is still down. Seems to me to be very poor customer service. I'm glad I found all this out before they could have possibly ruined the most important day of my life!

Also, after someone emailed me the pricing, I nearly choked on my own spit and died. For my 125 guests, it would have been 12000 approximately for like their cheapest dinner and that wasn't including alcohol!!! And the food was extremely eclectic (ie. goat cheese with caviar on a crustini, etc.) No thanks. Therefore, I also did not choose the venue because they only book through Elegant Fare Catering. The end.
