All I know is that if Karen hadn't been a part of organizing my day, it would've been a mess. I had 3 different ceremonies at 3 different locations all in one day - not to mention a dinner banquet for 300 at a restaurant. From the beginning, Karen was responsive to all my emails and was very detail oriented, which I appreciated. She was always professional and kept me up to date with what I needed to have completed.

She gives each couple a questionnaire about the wedding day - and exactly what they envision. The questionnaire was intimidating, as there were so many aspects of the wedding day that I didn't even THINK of, let alone plan for it. I'm glad she gave me that, b/c it really kicked my butt into gear. Planning a wedding by yourself isn't fun and can be ridiculously stressful. I was lucky enough to have Karen help me sort my way through as the Day got closer.

Karen was also there for my rehearsal, and she was very patient - even when our parents decided to change the order of things for the wedding. On the day of the wedding, Karen and her 2 assistants were very helpful. They took care of things and delegated work to my friends/helpers in order to make sure that each location was flipped to look its best.

Even though I wasn't fully prepared for the day (forgot this, forgot that), Karen was able to improvise on the spot and make things work. She was VERY helpful and definitely recommend her!

TIP: make sure you look at her detailed schedule for the wedding day and look it over before the actual day to make sure that you have EVERYTHING listed.

We had the pleasure of having Kansinee and her assistants (Mina, Kathy, Cindy) do hair and MU for me, my bridesmaids, and my mom and MIL in April 2010.

Kansinee was wonderful from the get go! She was the only one I did a trial with, because I booked her right away! Her sweet personality and her "whatever will make you happy" attitude made it an easy choice. Not to mention she uses individual temporary eyelashes...I LOVED them - they made such a difference and didn't look fake or overdone at all.

She understood the look I was going for and fixed or touched up the other BMs when it wasn't to our liking. She's so easy-going and yet meticulous with her work - I can't imagine working with anyone else. She was one of the best vendors I chose for my wedding day. She even came back in the afternoon to touch up my make up and put my hair in an up-do. She also helped my BMs when they needed her. I can't say anything negative, because Kansinee was so great to work with. (She doesn't nickel and dime you either - no travel fees w/in the Bay, really reasonable prices, and gave me a free special occasion hair/makeup coupon to use within the year.)

Her assistants, Mina and Kathy were great! Mina especially impressed me with her makeup and hair - she was spot on and made my BM and MIL look fantastic. Kathy did a great job with my mom and BM also - she's a hairstylist by day, so she definitely knows hair. She even took the time to give my mom a complimentary bang trim which was really sweet.

I unfortunately can't recommend Cindy. She did not understand our look of "fresh and natural" makeup and instead gave my BM a dramatic dark cat eye look. It just didn't make sense. Not to mention that she spilled a ton of makeup powder on my white carpet and didn't bother trying to clean it up. She was, however, the first to get to my house and was on time.

Overall, my experience with A List was great and I would recommend certain artists without any qualms.

Leigh (and Jacqueline and Frank) are So nice to work with.
My fiance and I were looking for antique replicas, and came upon Leigh's website. We didn't find what we were looking for exactly, but Leigh was able to make a custom Edwardian style engagement ring for us! Leigh was the only jeweler that we met in the Diamond District in NY that was friendly, laid-back and NOT pushy. That in itself was worth everything.

Leigh and the people he works with to make the jewelry did a fantastic job on my ring. They also did our wedding bands!

My only complaint is that they have a tendency to be absent-minded and therefore late on deadlines. We received our engagement rings later than promised (2 weeks later), and constantly have to remind them to send photos or information about the ring(s). Similar situation with the wedding rings - I started talking to them 8 months before my wedding date, and had to constantly call or email them about photos and information that I was waiting on. (I waited up to 3 weeks for photos of a men's solid gold band.)
If you do go with this company, know that you're in good hands, but also realize that you definitely have to stay on top of things to get your jewelry on time.
Even with that, I still recommend Leigh because of his kindness, patience and honesty. They went out of their way to make sample test rings and worked hard to make me happy.
