This was a spa resort and it was so wonderful, better than we could have imagined. Our room looked right out into the ocean and it was so peaceful and relaxing. It was a no kids resort so that was nice for the honeymoon. We got everything specialized for us (names on our dinner plates, etc.) a free candle light dinner on the beach, a free massage lesson, free salsa dancing lessons and so much more. The resort was beautiful and very well taken care of-clean and tidy. The workers were very friendly and funny and the food was 5 star!! Go there!! You will not be disappointed.

Guest Lodging: This place is absolutely amazing! We got treated like royalty and had an amazing room, overlooking all of St. Paul. This is a first class, top notch hotel room and service. The beds were so comfortable and pillows were plush. They use Aveda products in their bathrooms, so luxurious. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Room service was fast and speedy.

(10 Stars) We had Peter, and he was amazing!!!! The dance floor was absolutely packed all night and they hands-down made the reception. I had probably 75% of the adults tell me it’s the funnest reception they have ever attended. I used the online planner to pick my songs and they played my list and nothing I requested them not too. He has just the right amount of interaction with the crowd and it was an amazing experience. They brought extra lights for the dance floor per my request and went out of their way to purchase our unique first dance song off itunes because they didn’t have it in their very large library of songs. Everyone I worked with was great!

This is an absolutely break-taking chapel. I LOVED getting married there, it was so romantic and just the setting I was hoping to be married in. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because we had problems with the sound guy running the music. He was instructed to play music for the wedding party to walk down the aisle, and then the Chapel doors would close and he would start my song and they would re-open the doors for me. He never started my song! After about 3 very loooong minutes, the wedding coordinator had to peak her head in the door and tell him to start the song! It looked terrible, as if I had left my groom at the altar! Guests actually told me at the reception they wondered what was going on. How embarrassing! He also started a song at the wrong time while the pastor was praying and then abruptly stopped it. But the coordinator was great and she re-funded us some money for the difficulties. I would definitely get married here in a heartbeat but I would express my concerns about the sound technician and make sure he knew what he was doing.

Their cake was phenomenal; we got so many compliments on it! I found a picture out of a magazine and they replicated it and it looked great. However, they delivered the cake about 15 minutes before guests arrived, much later than they had told us. Luckily, I did not have to deal with this as I was not there setting up. It tasted good and looked great though!

I have mixed reviews about fairs. Usually they are very busy and you don’t get too much time to talk to vendors with so many people there. We did find a great dj there, but we were looking for more “unique” and “green” vendors, and the vendors that show up to these are not exactly like that…they are more of the popular names that are commonly used and known in the wedding industry if that makes any sense?

We loved Bari Jay. They have a large selection and almost any color and size you can imagine. They were comfortable and functional and can be worn to more than just weddings…(weren’t too bridemaid-ish). They looked great and we got a ton of compliments on them. My maids decided to all go with the same look, but if they wanted they could have ordered different styles in the same color, a nice option for different body types.

We flew to Chicago and stayed at the Mariott for the Bachelorette party. They did a great job of making us feel welcome and like premier guests. The rooms were clean and the experience was very pleasant. They had free breakfast as well…highly recommended! They also had good room service.

Great place for a Bachelor party! The guys were treated as VIP and had a great time. They got free drinks and food and had a great time playing black jack at a reserved table just for the Groom and his friends. It was a fun place, clean rooms, a great atmosphere and good food and drinks!!

Heather was highly recommended on the knot.com and lived in my town (woodbury) so I contacted her. She was very nice and I could tell she was experienced, but at several times I had to suggest alternate ideas than what she proposed like for the bustle, etc. and if I had not said anything she would have done it the way she wanted, and I did not like it. To explain better, she would say this is the only way this dress can really be bustled, and I would say well what if you took this piece of fabric and did this or that and then she was like oh yeah why didn’t I think of that? I also questioned if I should get the dress taken in at all-it fit me really well but I was worried about it expanding. Sure enough, I spent my wedding reception yanking my dress up at the bust because it was really hot all day and I was sweating. I also did not know what the appropriate length of the gown would be and what would be too long/too short because I had never spent time walking around in a wedding dress. She tailored it to the length she thought would be good and I trusted her. Well I tripped (did not fall but stepped on my dress) several times walking down the aisle. Should never have happened with a professional! She was also VERY expensive. Like I said she convinced me not to have my dress taken in so all she did was take about an inch off the bottom and then she did the ribbons for the bustle, and it was like $350!!! Very nice lady but I would go somewhere else.
