Miss Pamela's deserves way more praise than the stars will allow. I was gun-shy after searching shops in the Chicagoland area -- while the selections were nice, the shops were not: rushed appointments, heavy sales pressure, etc. Not to mention that the samples were generally so small that I could only see the proper fit of a couple of them!

With my wedding only 14 weeks away, I was starting to freak out, when out of the blue, I spotted Miss Pamela's billboard on I-80. The "Plus Sized" put me off, somewhat, until it occurred to me that they would likely have dresses that I could actually try on before setting down hundreds of dollars! And boy, do they. They carry a large selection of dresses from great designers, all of whom are perusable before you actually visit the shop. My intent was to try on dresses that would actually close, and order in a size that my ambitions allowed!

The 115 mile trip was well worth it, and I will highly recommend this shop to anyone who needs to try on larger sizes than the samples usually available at bridal salons. Miss Pamela herself is a very down-to-earth person -- a font of knowledge when it comes to the bridal industry -- the shop is lovely, and the town is sweet. In addition, the designer, model, and price of the gowns are clearly marked, and everything is above board. All-in-all a fabulous experience for a panicked bride!
