My husband and I were torn between more “traditional” wedding ceremony (i.e. like all the catholic weddings we grew up with) and a ceremony which reflected our current values and celebrated the strength in our relationship. We were able to do this with Pat. She was gracious and caring and had great ideas of how to do the ceremony. We ended up w/ a ceremony that was joyful, respectful, inclusive and true to ourselves. You can’t ask for anything better.
I changed my whole wedding date and receptions site once I walked in to The Olympic Sculpture Park (it hadn’t been open to the public yet). I know this is cheesy but seriously, “It had me at hello”. The site is modern and spacious w/ a view to die for. We wanted a venue that reflected what we love about Seattle – outdoors, artwork, modern yet still a little rusty and it fit it all. Our out of town guest also enjoyed the space and the proximity to downtown. It is a space that we frequently visit today and every time I jog through the OSP I get to relive the wedding again and again.
John was a pleasure to work with. He was kind and enthusiastic . I also would describe him as a, true romantic at heart, which shows in his work. His pictures speak for themselves. He is a great artist. Not only does he capture the candid moments, he also has an eye for detail and the beauty of the day. His pictures are memories I will treasure for a lifetime.
I have to admit we almost didn’t go with a videographer but my grandfather was not able to make the ceremony and I wanted to share it with him. We recently got our DVD in the mail and I think this is the most important thing we decided to do. The video is gorgeous. Aaron really captured the moment – not just w/ my husband and I, but with all of our friends and family we were celebrating with. And when he states you won’t even know he is there, he is not kidding! I barely remember seeing him at all.
I truly felt lucky to work with Daphne. She was flexible and willing to help problems solve to keep the budget under control . For example, we used the bridal and bridesmaids bouquets for the center piece of 3 tables instead of having separate arrangements. I had emailed her pictures of the different colors a week before the wedding the flowers pulled everything together perfectly. She really saw my vision and improved on it. She was able to take my thrown together visions of what I wanted for the flowers and made arrangements that were pieces of art. And even better – she is a genuinely nice person who was easy to work with.
