I just realized that Tortula and I both hired Laurie for our April 25th weddings! Now I'm even more impressed with her ability to multi-task :) Laurie and Renee saved my life. A month before our wedding, my other florist fell through, and I came to Laurie with only a couple of weeks to spare and a tight budget. She did everything she could to accommodate me- she even came in under my budget! I got so many compliments on the flowers. They truly exceeded my expectations, and Laurie matched my vision perfectly. Laurie and Renee are incredibly organized, they were EXCELLENT communicators, and I can't recommend them enough. If you use them for your wedding, you'll be blown away. This was by far the most professional vendor I worked with.

I am really happy that we hired Memory Makers for our wedding. Guy played EXACTLY what we requested, didn't play anything on our do-not-play list, and picked music that really suited the crowd. We had an afternoon wedding and wanted someone who would move the reception along nicely and play music without all the hype and cheesiness, and Guy did just that. He was punctual, respectful, and really managed the volume well- we could hear each other talk during the meal, and the music was loud enough without being deafening while we danced. Memory Makers had REALLY reasonable prices, and if you're looking for a budget-friendly DJ who plays the music without a whole lot of fuss, I definitely recommend them.

I live in NJ, and communicated with Candi over email only. I was very unsure of what type of veil I should get for my dress, and I couldn't find a bridal shop veil that I liked that was under $200. I sent pictures of my dress to Candi, as well as other information about my wedding, and she recommended a beautiful veil for me. I just got my veil today (cathedral length, ivory, pencil edge, mantilla cut), and it's perfect. She was very quick to get back to me, extremely helpful, and her work is of a really high quality. Even if you live 2500 miles away like I do, she is totally worth looking into.

I bought 100 personalized Save-the-Date postcards for only $14, after an online coupon. They allow you to design your own cards or magnets and upload pictures, or you can use one of their templates. The plus side to this website is that it's a business card and flyer company, so they don't have the automatic fee increase associated with any sort of "bridal" company. They also offer MANY discounts and coupons- I googled the company, and found a 50% off coupon plus free shipping! The prints come out VERY high quality. It's a little bit more DIY than other Save-The-Date companies, but the cost and quality makes the extra effort worthwhile.

WARNING!!!!! While I still love the quality and price of the product, CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARD BILL after you order. Vista Print signed me up for two $14.95/month "discount programs" called "Passport to Fun" and "Shopping Essentials," both without my knowledge. I found the charges on my credit card, googled them, and found that it was a scam that a lot of customers had complained about. I called them, and they immediately refunded me, but if you use Vista Print, READ THE FINE PRINT.

This jeweler in Paramus Park Mall has good customer service and a diamond or a ring to fit any budget and style. My engagement ring is a beautiful antique style and a very high quality diamond. In addition, they clean and resize the ring for free after you purchase it. Don't judge it as just another mall jeweler- they have a remarkably wide selection of rings and they really know what they're talking about. We also bought our wedding bands from them.

The only reason that this isn't 5 stars is because they were sometimes confused and called me several times to tell me my wedding ring was in when it wasn't.

This company is very DIY, but a dream for budget brides. They have many invitations for under $1/apiece, but the catch is that you have to put them together yourself. There is also a wide selection of recycled cotton cards and invitations that are mixed with leaves or flower petals for any brides planning a green or eco-conscious wedding. Part of my order was missing, but they were very nice about fixing it.

David's Bridal gets knocked a lot for quality of service, but the David's Bridal in Paramus is the best at customer service of any of the outlets in the NY/NJ area. As a recent bridesmaid, I went to the store in Edison and was horrified by the dirty fitting rooms and the un-helpful attitude of some of the people working there. However, the Paramus store is very clean, and my bridesmaids got a lot of personal attention from a VERY nice saleswoman there. My bridesmaids actually all loved one particular dress from David's- go figure.

This bridal shop in Washington Twp, NJ came highly recommended to me from other brides. It's been in business for decades, and the personal attention you get from the staff is great. I gave them my budget and a very general idea of what I wanted and they came out with literally 5 or 10 PERFECT dresses within my budget. My mom and mother-in-law also bought their dresses here.

I really couldn't be happier with the service- the seamstress did a great job on my alterations, and I found the staff very courteous and helpful. They have a great selection of Pronovias dresses, for anyone who likes the designer.

A caveat: they only accept cash and cashier's check for the final payment and require a 50% deposit. Also, you need to schedule an appointment in advance- they are very popular in the area.

The 76 House is a great restaurant in a historic building that is well over 300 years old. They were very willing to work with our budget, and never made us feel that we were unimportant since we didn't have a lot of money to spend. The management is very nice, and the food is EXCELLENT. An advantage to this venue is that it only has room for one wedding at a time, so your event will be the only focus of the day... no running into another bride in the bathroom!! Additionally, the restaurant has a lot of character with its stonework and wooden beams, so it will make your wedding stand out. I highly recommend it for a budget-friendly and unique reception.
