I have to say I am not a huge fan of Wal-mart. Well, I was there one day browsing the wedding aisle when I noticed the Clearance wedding section. I was able to get our invitations for $40 (obviously before printing). They were the perfect color and style. At first I didn't want to print my own invitations before but after finding the right style and the thought of saving $400 I am all in. :)

TheKnot.com has been very helpful in planning our May wedding. The ideas and tracking features really have added value as we continue to search for the best ideas for our reception site, track our guests, manage our to-do list and more. Also, we have ordered several items off the Wedding Shop section of the site. The only thing I don't like is searching for vendors. The geographies are so broad it is hard to truly narrow down to the area you are getting married. This results in paging through several vendors that aren't even relevant to your venue.

We are going to Antigua. We booked our trip through AAA but the real deal came through Sandals great specials. We got $550 toward our airfare and 35% off the room. I can't wait to our trip which is all inclusive!

I am looking forward to the food at our reception. We were able to get a taste of his wonderful food at a friend's wedding last year. He is hard to get and worth the price which is quite reasonable. I would recommend him to anyone.

All I can say is WOW. The site is beautiful with a great view of the Lake. Our site has a more rustic feel. We have a lot of flexibility with our vendor. The location was fairly inexpensive in comparison to the other locations we looked into but it had the look and feel we were looking for. The staff has been very helpful as we continue to visit the location to help visualize our reception.

We have booked our photographer and our initial meeting was great. We were pleased with his work and received a great recommendation from my Fiance's co-worker. We had a rocky start after we sent the check but continue to remain confident that he will do a fantastic job on our wedding day. My final review will be available after our photos are complete.

I know girls shop for dresses forever but I only went to look for a dress 3 times. It turns out that the first dress I tried on was the perfect dress even though I didn't know it. I continued to shop and came upon MB Bride which is a large bridal shop in Greensburg, PA. They were fantastic as I tried on dress after dress. As I was combing the ranks, I came across that first dress I tried on. I had this feeling that I needed to try it on again, so I did. Long story short I ordered my dress that day. I ran into a minor mishap with a salesperson who didn't show for my appointment but the newly assigned salesperson did an even better job. I will be getting my dress, the bridesmaids dresses and the flower girl dress at MB Bride.

I have selected my Bridesmaid dresses from the Alfred Angelo collection. I originally found the dresses in York but after my wonderful experience at MB Bride, I have decided to have my girls order their dresses their too. Unfortunately, it is several hours away from them so they will be getting them altered by someone else. However, MB Bride's dresses were at least $50.00 cheaper and with the discount (from ordering my dress there) the girls will save close to $80.00. Another good experience.

We have decided to print our programs ourselves especially since we are creating very detailed programs. We are having a Catholic ceremony and the majority of my guests are not Catholic so we have decided to put a program booklet together with all of the words. The Knot has been very helpful as I plan my wedding with the many vendors who are involved with the site. Michaels is one of the vendors and they have a lot of great do-it-yourself ideas. I pull our simply, yet elegant program design from Michaels and look forward to creating the perfect program for our wedding. I plan to start printing early next year, so my final review will come around April.

Our wedding is scheduled for 2009. We hired our DJ about two months ago. He was very responsive and seemed to think of everything. He had state-of-the-art equipment and a back-up in case the equipment malfunctioned. He will ensure the mic is at the Best Man's seat before we arrive and our glasses are filled approximately 5 minutes before arriving so they do not melt. Also, he will be meeting with us 2 months prior to the wedding to finalize all the details such as how to pronounce names, reception schedule, song choices and much more! We have already recommended him to another friend who is getting married. Final review will be posted after our wedding. :)
