I used Country Delights for the cookies, and they were fabulous! It is located in Johnstown, PA, and it was worth the drive from Altoona, PA, to get the cookies! The prices are extremely reasonable. I paid only about $250 for almost 900 cookies. There is a wide variety of cookies from which to choose so that guests will be bound to find something that they can enjoy. If there are left-overs, they can be frozen and still taste delicious!

Hair Trends is in Hollidaysburg, PA, and they are fabulous! Their staff is so nice! My hair dresser did a trial run on my hair a few weeks before so she could make it look perfect for the big day! She also had several of her co-workers come in early so that the entire bridal party could get their hair done. The prices are very reasonable - only about $30 to get your hair done. All of the staff made everyone's hair look elegant ti fit their personalities. I also had my makeup done there, and they listened to me when I said that I did not want to have too much makeup on. They put just enough on to make myself look simple yet elegant.

Ray is a great photographer who does unique things to make your day special. He is willing to go to any photography sites that you prefer, and he is also very funny. He keeps everything moving throughout the day, and he makes the entire bridal party and families laugh and have a good time. He is very professional and helpful throughout the whole process. He even helped me to put on my shoes!
His photos always turn out very well. His prices are a bit expensive. We have paid 1800 so far, but we will be paying abot 2000 more for our album. However, I feel that he is worth the cost because he is the best photographer in the Altoona area.
Rock Bottom is located near Altoona, and they were fabulous and very professional! Our DJ was not annoying and did not talk too much, but she kept everything moving along very well. She used all of the songs that we requested, and she was very polite and professional. She did not have any tacky advertisements on her set-up, and she had fabulous taste. The price was only $550 for 5 hours of music, which I thought was very reasonable. She was fabulous and very nice!
We had a wonderful honeymoon in Punta Cana, but we did have some problems with booking through Expedia. For example, I typed that I wanted to use Dulles airport. I did not realize that Expedia has us leaving Dulles and coming back in to Reagan Airport until the night that we left for the honeymoon. Please be sure to verify that you are going in and coming back to the same airport.
We also had problems because we booked excursions through Expedia's website. We did not realize that the excursions that we booked would occur at a different hotel because Expedia did not make this known to us. We had to take a cab from our hotel to another hotel in the Dominican Republic to do our scuba dive and snorkeling excursions. It was a stressful and frustrating part of our honeymoon, so we suggest booking excursions once you arrive at your hotel. We found that the hotel offered excursions for the same price as Expedia did, so we would have save money that we had to spend on a taxi if we had waited to book our excursions through our hotel.
Other than that, my experience with Expedia went well because the prices were very affordable and the honeymoon was easy to book online.
Cakes by Joy is in Hollidaysburg, PA.
Her cakes are very creative, and she is so nice and wiling to help. She sat down with me so we could discuss exactly what the cake would look like. I gave her a general idea of what I wanted, and she really pulled through. I got a cake to serve 175, and it was only $460. Her idea of a piece of cake is large, so there were also plenty of left overs! She has several different flavors from which to choose, and they are all fabulous. She goes to the reception site to set up the cake for you as well!

Warner's in Altoona, PA did a fabulous job with the flowers. The staff helped us to pick out what would coordinate well with everything. The prices were very reasonable because it was only $800 for all of the flowers that were used. This included flowers in the church, 6 bouquets, and flowers for parents and grandaparents. The arrangements are gorgeous, and they take care of delivering everything for you. I had flowers as the centerpiece at the reception, so they delivered flowers to my home, to the church, and then to the reception site. They were wonderful!

LuCretia's is in Altoona, PA. It was a great experience because the staff was so nice and not pushy at all. They did not pressure me to buy y gown and they truly cared about me being happy with my purchase. I was able to get the bridesmaids gowns, tuxedos, alterations, and dress preservation there. The prices are very reasonable. I got an elegant Maggie Sotero gown for $900. Dress preservation was only $100, and the tuxedos were only $80 each. The bridesmaids got discounts because I purchased my gown there.
We used Vogue Limos to get a limo bus for our bridal party. It is located in Jeannette, PA, which is somewhat close to Pittsburgh. Here is the website for it: http://www.voguelimousines.com/index.html.
>Although the limo bus traveled from Jeannette to Altoona and back to Jeannette, the price was only $1250. We felt that this was an excellent deal for all of the travel time that was involved (a total of about 4 hours of travel time plus 2 hours of the bridal party using the limo bus). The driver was very polite and willing to help. He provided us with champagne, and there were other beverages on the limo bus for the bridal party to enjoy. The limo bus was practically new and in fabulous condition. It was so spacious that we were all able to spread out and enjoy the ride to the photo sites. The driver was fairly good with directions even though he had never been in Altoona before. The bridal party, as well as my husband and I, were highly impressed with Vogue Limo.

Scotch Valley Country Club is located in Hollidaysburg, PA, which is near Altoona, PA. The staff there are incredibly helpful and very willing to set up the ballroom to make it perfect and according to your wishes. They also gave me suggestions as to whom to hire for a DJ and cookie baker. Their advice led me to other wonderful vendors who made our day special and memorable. The prices are fairly reasonable. We paid about $38 per person, and this included an open bar. The food was fantastic as well. We had a buffet style, and there were several items from which we could choose to have on the buffet line. I highly reccommend Scotch Valley as a reception site. The only negative thing that I can think of is that it is about 4 miles out into the country, which can make it difficult for guests to locate. However, we solved this problem by chartering a school bus to shuttle guests from the hotel to the reception site. For us, it was worth it because we loved the beautiful views that Scotch Valley has to offer.
