Barr Mansion handled the ceremony and reception site, as well as the food and cake. The location and site are beautiful. The food at the tasting was fabulous, but at our wedding the food tasted different (i.e. the beef was dry, the cake frosting tasted more like straight butter then buttercream, etc.). Because they are a 'green' location, they do have limitations on cake designs, this was frustrating. And it seemed like every time we wanted to consider doing additional things there was an extra $150 charge. They state that their charges are all inclusive and you won't get any surprises, but I don't think that's the case. Just pay special attention to details and numbers. We're glad we had our wedding there and it was lovely, but there are a few inconsistencies that bothered us. We just try to focus on and remeber all the great stuff. I think this is a good site location for smaller weddings, since a lot of places have minimums and require you to meet them regardless of food or liquor purchased. It was nice to supply our own alcohol and even though we only had the location till a certain time, we didn't feel rushed to get out (although I don't know how our family felt that loaded up all our supplies (i.e. flowers, remaining alcohol, etc.). The coordinator isn't there to coordinate your wedding for you, but try and make sure things run smooth, they don't tend to take iniative on your behalf (even if they know your wishes), so it can be frustrating to always check in or refer to someone else, we really just wanted folks to be able to relax and have fun, so we were the points of contact. My fiance did have to be very assertive, maybe even aggressive, to get what he wanted regarding speaker set up and such. My advice for any couple is to stand your ground, get lots of info, get it in writing and don't be afraid to voice your opinion. I don't know if I would recommend Barr Mansion. They have a lot of fabulous qualities (same site for ceremony and reception, supply cake, food, etc.), but during the process of working with them we learned about some frustrating qualities as well.
Charming paper created our invites and announcements. They were absolutely gorgeous and we had a hard time deciding on what we wanted b/c she creates such beautiful stationary. Prices can vary, depending on paper used for the invites, printing type, etc. I would totally recommend Charming Paper. Not only does she do wedding stationary, but other things as well (i.e. baby announcements, etc.).

Art of Skulls created these awesome little culevera magnets. They looked amazing. My concern was it took a long time to get the items and order situated and when the items were shipped they were just put all together in a box, which caused them to bump and rub on each other during shipping, damaging the majority. This vendor creates beautiful items, but communication was difficult and shipping was a problem.

Tuxedo Junction had a great selection. The staff were nice, but not very well coordinated. We would often get conflicting information, so I suggest get everything in writing and keeping your records. My fiance had to pick up his tux the day of the wedding and the shop we had been going to for months (where he went to pick up his tux) told him his tux was at the other shop! Not a big deal if we had had some notice, but with nerves and the last minute notice, it was very frustrating, we had other things scheduled to try and do, but he had to drive out of his way and drive a lot farther to pick his up. They could have at least told us the day before when picking up the groomsmens tuxes that this was the situation. They have a good selection and good prices, but you have to be very clear and proactive with the communication. I wouldn't recommend them bsed on their ervice/communication.
Dean helped choregraph and teach us our first dance. It was a lot of fun and work. Dean was easy to work with and was able to teach us two other dance styles and some extra steps to use at our wedding. I would definitely recommend AAMD.

Laura created my wedding dress with me. She's a pleasure to work with. I've since gone back to her for cleaning of the wedding gown and for additional alterations. I would definitely recommend her. Amazing and absolutely beautiful dresses. Makes me want to get married a couple times just so I can have some of her creations!

We love the style of Forever Photography. The photographers would work with our ideas and we with theirs, so it was a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend them. My only concern is the time it takes to get our discs (we opted to purchase our discs and the rights to print our own photos). Good communication, just a few email/computer glitches that would prevent emails from being received, so use a secure email (i.e. a work email).

Mariah with Whole Foods Market in the floral department handled all of our flowers (i.e. bridal bouquet, mothers bouquets, bouts, flowers for wedding cake, and flowers for rose ceremony). They were reasonably priced and very helpful. Mariah met with us in person on several occassions and was very easy to work with via email. I would definitely recommend Whole Foods for their floral assistance.

Mike Rinehart performed our wedding ceremony. We had seen him officiate at a friends wedding before and knew we'd love to have him officiate ours. Mike is fabulous. He's kind, patient, and helpful. Mike met with us before confirming anything so that we could get a feel of what it would be like to work with him. Mike was easy to work with via email as well. Unfortunately he wasn't able to attend or assist at the rehearsal, but we didn't feel left in the lurch. He had officiated at our location before and referred us to the coordinator. He also arrived early the day of the wedding. We would definitely recommend him :)

Lynn's Little Creations created a wedding cake topper and grooms cake topper for our cakes. Lynn had never done a day of the dead themed cake topper, but her first was fabulous! It was great to see her create characters with our them, but using details about us (the bride and groom specifically). The grooms cake topper was a surprise for my groom, it had all the different colored Pikmin (from his favorite video game) and it is one of his favorite memories that we display in our hutch. Lynn was a pleasure to work with and was always kind and patient, even with my crazy bridal brain. I have gone on to request other items from her and continue to refer friends and family to her. Thank you Lynn!!!
