As a photographer, Mimi’s work speaks for itself! She pays close attention to detail, gives great direction for the photographically-challenged, and has an amazing eye for things you can’t see – especially in yourself! Her angles are amazing, and her editing is phenomenal!

Mimi herself is cute, bubbly, and becomes a friend – all in one hour! Mimi makes taking photos fun, and she can put anyone at ease. Her personality is refreshing and any bride would be lucky to have such a friendly and energetic photographer on their wedding day! I am so glad I had the chance to take photos with Mimi and I highly recommend her to everyone!

I bought my dress elsewhere and decided to use Judith based on great reviews I found online. I was never really in love with my dress to begin with, and I originally took it to Judith to have a bustle put in. However, Judith could tell I didn't really care too much about my dress, so she offered suggestions as to how the dress could be altered. The dress began as an off-the-shoulder dress with the back slightly below my shoulder blades, and is now a beautiful strapless with a sweetheart neckline and a dropped back. And I LOVE it! I never had any doubts that Judith would be able to do all that she said. Judith is really confident and makes it easy to entrust your dress to her. And she works quickly, and she's extremely affordable! I would recommend Judith to anyone in the Northern VA/DC area - she's worth it!

I really don’t have enough kind words to say about Nataly and Art. From day one, Nataly has been completely personable and sweet. Prior to the wedding, Nataly maintained great contact with me as far as making sure we had a shared vision of the timeline for the day. On the day of the wedding, Nataly and Art did a great job getting our wedding party situated and photos taken quickly and efficiently (we did our group shots prior to the ceremony). After our wedding party headed to the ceremony, Nick and I had the BEST time walking around with Nataly and Art, taking our bride and groom shots. Seriously, we had such a good time with them, we could have stayed out with them all night and done the wedding the following weekend!!! We walked around, talked, shared stories, and laughed. Art and Nataly are two of the most wonderful people I could have ever hoped to have at the wedding. They listened to all concerns and addressed them professionally. They were extremely understanding and always seemed to know what we were thinking or hoping for as far as photos went. They put us at ease and made us realize that our wedding was really about the two of us. Just us. And that feeling was priceless.

Throughout the ceremony and reception, they moved so quietly that I hardly remember seeing them! They took every shot we asked for, elaborated on our own ideas, and came up with amazing shots we never would have dreamed of taking! As soon as they got home that evening, Nataly posted a teaser for us on her blog that we were able to share with our guests at the Sunday morning brunch – this was awesome!!

I would also like to address the other reviews regarding her lack of communication, etc. Yes, Nataly can be difficult to reach initially. I admit that it was difficult in the beginning to secure a return phone call from her. However, I know how busy wedding vendors are (especially photographers) and never took this personally. I also did not stop calling her because I knew there was NO ONE ELSE I would rather have photograph my wedding. I was determined to get a hold of here no matter what!! And I am so glad I did. Nataly is a lovely person and one of my favorite vendors to work with!

Once I signed a contract with Nataly, I had nothing but pleasant communication with her and her husband. Nataly made sure our photo list and timeline were set, and made sure we had no questions prior to the day. Following the wedding, Nataly let me know within days of the picture deadline coming that she would have the photos to me soon. When the photos did not arrive as stated and I began to worry, Nataly was quick to answer my phone call and made other arrangements so that we could show photos to family members we were traveling to see. Nataly is quick to resolve any potential conflict and she (and Art) are not only fantastic photographers (as evidenced by all her work), but wonderful and genuine people we are glad to know.

If you need immediate and constant communication and reassurance from your vendor, Nataly may not be for you – she (like many photographers) gets busy and may not always have time to post and respond immediately. However, after my experience with Nataly and her husband Art, the quality of their work and the even higher quality of their personalities made all waiting more than worth it and I would recommend them to anyone who wants the best photographers in the LA area to photograph their wedding!

Damon was a fantastic DJ. Because we had such a small wedding planned, we initially were not sure we would need a DJ. However, one month away from the wedding date, we decided it would be better to be safe than sorry and hired Damon – and we are so glad we did!! With only one month to go, Damon worked quickly to make sure our music and ceremony sound needs were caught up to speed. Damon made sure he had all the music we requested. If he did not have a particular song we wanted, we were able to mail him a CD and he made sure to incorporate everything we requested. Damon was extremely organized and he was one vendor I didn’t have to worry about at all – we knew everything would be fine.

On the wedding day, Damon kept the ceremony running smoothly and had everything timed perfectly. During dinner, Damon played the perfect mix of songs that we requested as well as others he knew would complement our musical tastes. The party ended up going a little longer than planned and Damon agreed to extend his time with us – this made our guests very happy!

Angie was my DOC for my April wedding and she was fantastic! Angie not only takes care of what normal DOCs do, but she goes above and beyond! She helped me with my Save the dates, invites, décor, and she has been my go-between for a few vendors. She also ordered all my table linens!

On the day of the wedding, she decorated the entire venue, assembled my bouquet, the bridesmaids' bouquets, and the floral centerpieces. There was also a point where there was some confusion at the venue during the wedding, and Angie took care of everything without anyone knowing there were problems!

Angie is professional, efficient, and organized, and will do ANYTHING you need her to do (I have heard that some DOCs charge extra to do things you’d think they were being paid to do)- Angie is not afraid to get to work! Angie returned my linens after the ceremony, made sure my venue was properly packed up and cleaned.

She makes sure your reception area looks just how you envisioned it. She also takes care of all the tipping and payments at the end of the night so you don’t have to worry about the details! And the best part… she always gets back to you right away (some of my vendors never return calls or emails and it drives me crazy!)

The wedding would not have gone as smoothly without Absolutely Events, and I highly, highly recommend her!
