WOW, what to say about Sara from Stinkerpants Designs. She is amazing. When I was a newbie on the knot I saw some TY Cards she had done for purplewedding. I was super impressed and contacted her about my STD's. I was hoping to coax her into designing them for me...my evil plan worked. She was just getting her business off the ground and I was client #2.

I wanted something unique and representative of me and the mr. Boy, did she pull it off. We hashed out a few ideas and then a few days later she sent me the first proof and I actually cried because it was so good. It will be something that I always treasure.

Since then Sara and I have become great friends. We share a wedding date so have been planning together. Im sure I will be hiring Sara for other projects in the future....or, maybe i'll just have to make up some stuff just as an excuse to have her draw something for me

Page at Passiflora is amazing. Her work is so beautiful. Everything turned out great but there were 2 small things I was disappointed in but it may have been just because I didn’t express exactly my vision.

1. I had paid for organza to be draped on poles in front of chapel. I wanted it to have a dreamy, flowy feel when people walked in. What I got was some white organza tightly wrapped around 2 of the poles with the other 4 poles left bare. This was totally not what I had in mind and was really sad when I pulled up to chapel and saw it the way it was. Also they had added some ivy to railing which I didnt like.

2. I had them make a large letter "E" out of mums which was to be placed above the fireplace at reception. I assumed they would do it with the green mums to match my color scheme and also the pomanders. But, it was in white. The wall it was on was white as well so it totally blended in and I don’t think anyone saw it. I wish I would have specifically said that I wanted it green and I should have not assumed they would make it match the other items.

All in all everything was amazing. The centerpieces and bouquets were beautiful. One lesson learned is that don’t assume they understand your vision. You have to be specific and even send pics so they know. I feel like I can’t be mad because I didn’t express what I wanted properly. They aren’t mind readers.

UPDATE: I was given a credit for the 2 items I was not satisfied with so I feel that was a nice gesture on their part.

My dress was amazing. I wish I could wear it again! The service at AK is top notch. I am so glad I went with them. It was such a great experience.

I went to Glamour Closet with my Mom to try on dresses for the first time. It was a good experience. Everyone was very nice & helpful. We arrived right after they opened and had one bride in front of us so only had to wait about 30min. We picked out some beautiful dresses (about 6 or 7) and I tried them on. Didnt find "the one" but it was nice being in a no pressure environment to see what sort of styles looked good on me. When at Glamour Closet you have to keep in mind that all the dresses are samples and are sold "as is" so many are a bit dirty (can be cleaned) or have snags & beading missing. Im sure all of that stuff can be fixed by a professional and the dress can be made to look like new but it wasnt for me.

My fiance and I just bought my engagement ring from Brilliant Earth! I love the ring (the Platinum Eternity Shared Prong Setting), and it was really important for us to get a conflict free diamond. We scheduled an appointment, and were able to see the ring and the diamond in their showroom in San Francisco, which was really helpful. I highly recommend them and am definitely going back for my matching wedding band!
