Party City has books and books of wedding invitations that you can choose from. They range from fancy to informal, cheap to expensive, all depending on what you want. If you get a knowledgable salesperson, they can be very helpful with helping you pick out which invitations you might like based on your preference. There are a lot of younger workers in there, however, that won't be helpful at all. Try to go during off hours so you can get better from a manager. Our invitations came on time and everything was correct when we got them. What I liked about Party City was that all of the fun extras that you might need for invitations, such as sealing wax, is a lot cheaper than if you go to a specialize wedding store. Makes a lot more sense to buy those things there, even if you get your invitations elsewhere.

Yep, she is awesome. Located in Beaverton off Walker road, Nicki is my hair stylist of choice for special occasions. She cut and styled my hair for the wedding as well as did my makeup. I had pretty short hair at the time and was worried about how I was going to wear it for the ceremony, knowing that there aren’t many things you can do with short hair. By the time Nicki was done I looked like a movie star! My hair stayed great through the entire day. During the process Nicki made me feel very special--she was very excited for me and I could tell that she wanted to make me look FAB for the biggest day of my life.

If you want to go the cheap route, Costco has some great flowers and they will order extras of a certain kind of flower if you make the request. Of course, you get what you pay for with this so you won’t have a floral expert to consult nor will you have anyone delivering the flowers and arranging them for you. This is for someone on a budget for sure. Make sure the flowers you order are in season and that they have actually started to bloom by the time you get them to the church. Our flowers ended up being ok, but they weren't anything special. I had one of my friends make a wedding bouquet from the extra flowers we had and it turned out awesome--I received a ton of compliments on it too.

Located close to Puerto Vallarta this hotel was the nicest place I have ever stayed. There are three different 'Mayans' to stay at depending on how much you want to pay. My husband and I were upgraded to the nicest one for no charge! The architecture in this place in huge and feels like your staying at a cross between a roman palace and chic Bahamas resort. Weird combination but it works. The food on location is hit and miss. Its best to just ask someone there where the best place is to eat. There are two swim up bars which serve STRONG strawberry margaritas, among other drinks. We did get some money stolen from out room, so use the safes that are located in each room for sure. Helpful staff and a great place to relax.

The cake was delicious--what little I had of it and Jacque was friendly and knew what she was doing. She has over 20 years of experience making cakes and her mom before her also owned a bakery as well---so it apparently runs in the family. Overall the price was excellent. The cake was there on time and looked awesome. The photographer took some really neat pics of the cake and reception area in the background and it looked awesome. Based off the theme that I wanted to have for my wedding, Jacque made good cake suggestions that would fit in well for what I wanted. She is definitely creative and willing to offer suggestions if you want them.

Nottinghams of Sherwood is located in old town Sherwood. It used to be a church, but has since been renovated into a reception facility. There is a lot of dark wood which makes it nice and cozy. They make their own food there which was pretty good if I remember correctly. There is a bar in the upper portion of the place, a staircase that goes down to the second floor which is where most of the tables were as well as the dance floor (which used to be an altar). Black ceilings make it a photographer's nightmare, but Nicole did fine. The couple that owns the place are really nice people and the price is reasonable.
Nicole came with one other photographer which was awesome because we ended up with pictures taken at all different angle. Something which would have been impossible to do with just one person. She takes a lot of candid shots which is what me and my husband wanted so that was great. Very friendly and able to fit in with the wedding folk just fine. Her specialty is definitely candid so the formal shots were a little boring--not too bad, but I've seen better. We were really happy with the shots she took of the reception--lots of life captured. Her price was average--I think we paid a little over 1000 for about 6 hrs.

The only reason we had our ceremony here was because this is where me and my husband met and we got to have our wedding there for free. The price could not be beat, but for a wedding like ours, which only included about 100 people, the church was was too big. Photos of the attendees make it look as if hardly anyone attended because the place is so big. The outside of the building is not very picturesque either for photos and overall romantic appeal. This would not be a place to have a wedding unless it had some sort of sentimental value or was free.
I asked my husband for his opinion on this one…Basically they get the job done--Men's Warehouse rents out tuxes all the time, so they have the books ready for you to look at as soon as you come in. The measurements and were all correct and everything turned out fine and well fitted. The groom's tux is free if at least three or four groomsmen get their tuxes there as well. The negative to the place is the people who are there to help with the process. They aren't all that engaged or friendly and are constantly being distracted by other people or employees in the store. Overall they just don’t make the experience a very special or meaningful one--but, like I said, they get the job done.

My first visit to Charlotte's was meant to merely browse their inventory, however the salespeople there were nice enough to allow me an hour window in which to try on some dresses! This was impressive being that I had no appointment and was pretty much lost in regards to what kind of dress I wanted. Overall, very friendly and helpful salespeople who were not stuck up or snooty; reasonably price--my dress was about 500 bucks. My dress was awesome and I had no problems with getting it on time--everything went smoothly. The only reason this doesn’t get a 5 is due to the fact that I was not drinking wine and eating chocolate covered strawberries throughout the whole experience.
