Joel and Wendy were extremely nice and helpful to work with. We had both photography and video through their company.
I really enjoyed Maira's upbeat personality. She is a ball of energy and super friendly. I loved my hair and make-up trial. For some reason, I didn't love my wedding day hair and make-up as much. She and her team did hair and make-up for all my bridesmaids and the mothers. Some of the women were better than others and Maira ended up having to re-do the work of one of her assistants. I think this put us in a bit of a time crunch and Maira was still working on my poor mother-in-law while we should have been starting family pictures. Maira is definitely talented and friendly, the wedding day seemed too rushed however and as a result, stressed me out and the final quality/result was not as great as I had seen her do at my trial.
We had our wedding reception at OHEKA Castle. The Pros/Cons were as follows:
-Response times to our phone and email questions were sub-optimal
-We had requested that OHEKA incorporate a Mexican food station into our cocktail hour to honor the groom’s heritage. It was a struggle to get them to finally deliver on this aspect
-Delayed and confusing response on upgrade options including drinks and food
-Unprofessional behavior and attitude from accounting department
-OHEKA really needs to provide the bride and groom with a complete (not incomplete) wedding planning package from day one (perhaps a website). It was very confusing and time consuming to ask for information and paperwork throughout the whole process (and multiple times we received conflicting/outdated forms)
-Delivered a beautiful event-all of our guests were impressed
-Worked with us on extending our cocktail hour when our guests on buses arrived late
-Delivered on Mexican food station-food was good!

We hired Hank Lane’s “Downtown Band” for our wedding. Overall, our guests seemed to have a good time on the dance floor and we liked the variety of music. However, we did encounter a few issues with this vendor:
-The customer service was spotty and unresponsive until the owner got involved. Once he started looking over us, things worked out very well.
-The music was quite loud throughout the whole event. We had to ask multiple times for the volume to be turned down.
-The website that is supposed to help to allow customers to hear portions of tracks, definitely needs to be improved.

We dealt with Robert and overall we were very impressed with Pedestal’s service. Pedestals delivered on the floral arrangements-they were beautiful, fresh and very impressive. Unfortunately, building up to the wedding day, there were times when our calls/questions went unanswered and we needed to follow-up multiple times. Vendors need to realize that a bride and groom have so many different vendors to deal with and having to make multiple calls/requests to have things done is extremely time consuming and stressful. Again, on the wedding day, Pedestals pretty much delivered…the only thing they forgot was the LED tea candles on the stairs leading up to the reception and this was something that I really wanted! Also, they advertise an office in Manhattan, but it would be more convenient if they had more hours there!
