We chose to spend our honeymoon in Daytona Florida. We went after the summer rush, and stayed at the Ocean Plaza Resort. It was very clean and relaxing. Our room overlooked the ocean. We are planning to go back on our next anniversary.

I chose a tropical blue color for my bridesmaids. And ivory with blue sashes for the girls. I loved the selection they had, but couldn't decide on a single dress. Instead, I let my bridesmaids choose their own dresses so that they could be as comfortable as possible. My bridesmaids were thrilled.

My husband met with Ms. Linda at A'Bryans to choose my ring. She has wonderful taste and was a huge help to my nervous/anxious fiance. She was also helpful in finding the perfect ring from him. I told her what I was looking for, and she did all the work of finding it. Our wedding gifts from my husbands parents were also purchased there. We have been customers of A'Bryans for years.

I chose Annie for all my wedding, engagement, and bridal photos. Her rates are very reasonable, and you can tell she takes pride in her work. She was very creative and worked with me to find just the right poses and lighting to make my pictures stand out. We took all my photo's at Sunny-Meade B&B, with no charge for driving out of town. She even digitally touched up one of my best shots to cover up a nasty scar on my arm. She showed up several hours before the ceremony to start taking pictures. I guarantee I have pictures of every guest that attended! When it was all over, she copied all my photos to a non-copywritten disc for me to print and share. In her package, she included 40 4x6 photos, 2 5x7, and an 8x10. I was very pleased with my wedding photos.

The Sweet Shoppe's cakes were delicious. My husband had a golf themed cake, and I chose a 3 tier cake decorated with tropical flowers which matched my bouquet, and I chose a scroll pattern with buttercream icing instead of fondue. They offer free delivery of the grooms cake if you purchse the wedding cake there. The owner took care of decorating the table, and all I had to do was bring her the flowers. She handled all the details as far as how to decorate my cake, and she did a wonderful job. The grooms cake was filled with bavarian creme, and I chose chocoalte filling for my top tier, strawberry for the middle, and vanilla for the largest tier. The cakes were delicious. She wrapped and boxed the top tier for us to take home and keep till our 1st anniversary. It tasted just as good on our anniversary as it was on our wedding night. I will definately order from The Sweet Shoppe again.

The Sweet Shoppe also sells fresh baked treats, candles, and Sophia oil burners.

Sunny-Meade was a wonderful bed and breakfast that caters to all your wedding needs. They offered an all-inclusive package for our wedding, reception, and wedding night. I also took my bridal portraits there. There is an open courtyard with a gazebo for the ceremony to take place, and if the weather isn't perfect, they can accomodate for an inside wedding. The reception took place inside the atrium, and there was a designated smoking area located outside by the pool & jacuzzi (which is for use only AFTER all the guests have left). The venue was fully decorated for a minimal fee, which if I had purchased my own decorations, would've cost well over $1000, and took much of my precious time to assemble. They offered catering services, full bar service, and had several menu options to pick from. Their rates were very reasonable, however my only complaint is they charge per person attending. There was so much food that had to be thrown away because I estimated 250 people to attend the wedding, but several guests left immediately after the ceremony, and many other guests simply didn't eat. Most caterers let you pay for the food you want to buy, and not base it on who actually attends the ceremony. It was wastefull, but our liquor tab more than made up for that. Their wedding planner was helpful with choosing which decoration would suit my tropical themed wedding. She set up the table decorations for me, and after the ceremony, picked up the decorations I brought and bagged them for me to take home. It was nice not having to ask someone to stay after the ceremony to do that for me. I have heard many compliments on how beautiful everything was, I'm soo happy that I found this place.

The stay overnight was pleasant. They turned down the sheets and left us with a bottle of champagne to celebrate. The B&B is exclusively for weddings, so we had the entire house and all it's amenities to ourselves. In the morning, Mr. Charlie (the owner) cooked a delicious breakfast of eggs, sausage, homeade bisquits and gravy, and fresh cut fruit. Check out wasn't unitl 11 am, so that allowed us time to wake up and enjoy our breakfast before leaving. Feedback is very important to Sunny Meade, so Mr. Charlie made it a point to ask how our experience was and if there was anything that they could do to make the place better for future guests.

The wedding day is always rushed up until the ceremony. They opened the house for us to use six (6) hours before the wedding. They normally allow, the mother, grandmother, and maid of honor inside to get ready, but for us, they allowed all three bridesmaids, my mother, step-mother, and photographer inside. And to make things easier, they offered to let us bring our dresses the night before the ceremony. They have a garment steamer in the dressing room for those last minute touch ups, and a large mirror. Instead of making our guests wait outside in the sun before the ceremony, they were allowed to wait in the atrium, and just before the ceremony was to begin, they ushered our guests to their seats. They offered large fans to use outside, but we had to turn them off because the noise was too much.

All in all, it was a wonderful experience. There were a few guests that had complaints after the fact, but they were minor and not worth getting too upset over. I highly recommend Sunny-Meade to any bride-to-be.
