I found Beth through a feature in LA Weddings magazine. We were sure that we made the right decision after meeting with her. She was so sweet! We were pleased with our engagement photos and even took her out for cheese and wine.
We are not, however, pleased with our wedding pictures. To speak generally about them:
-There are a TON of blurry shots and I'm not talking soft, artsy pictures.
-The group shots are either crowded or have very strong light coming in from one side that wash out the group.
-I received NO pictures of my groom by himself. (After some prodding, she handed over one in which he's cut off- amateur move when you're shooting digital)
When we told her our concerns, she emailed us a rude and condescending response. She took no responsibility for her mistakes.
My husband is very upset by the whole thing and doesn't even want to look at our wedding pictures. There are pictures that I DO LOVE (they're our wedding pictures after all!),but I don't feel comfortable recommending her.
UPDATE: Beth threatened to sue us for defamation after I posted this exact review.
I found a link a couple of days later that I think is very important for her potential customers to see. Beth Beljon writes for a photography blog and she included a shot that SHE took of my wedding as an example of bad photography! Beware!
I found these Gals through www.labridezilla.com and I am SO glad I did! Karri set up all of the timelines, lists, and other necessary docs and Courtney was there to actually coordinate the event as my Day Of Coordinator. Courtney helped with my last minute issues with my location and also came through HUGE when our DJ wasn’t able to play the music that we gave him or play the slideshow. I’m sure that Courtney was doing a lot of things behind the scenes that we don’t even know about and I'm forever indebted to her. I loved The Go To Gals!

I had a great experience at R-Mine. I went to R-Mine a month before my wedding to buy a dress because my custom made gown wasn’t looking so good by then. They had plenty of samples available in the sample sale section. I found a beautiful dress (Elizabeth Fillmore, Starlet) and was able to negotiate the price lower than what was on the tag. Additionally, I needed alterations and after shopping around, found that R-Mine was the cheapest. They did a great job and it was done in no time. Stephanie was my sales consultant.

We fell in love with our location the minute we walked into the lobby. The color palate, the grounds, and the laid back Palm Springs style made our location decision pretty easy. It's been featured in tons of design mags and photoshoots. Unfortunately, Viceroy Palm Springs went through several catering coordinators during our planning process. By several I mean exactly 6. At one point, they lost our contract, another time they lost our tasting menu. It was extremely frustrating. But by the wedding, everything worked out well and they came through for us which is the reason I feel comfortable recommending them. The staff is all very friendly and they really do want to be helpful. In the end, I worked with Heather Whyel. There is no outside catering allowed so it was also done by the staff at Viceroy. I cannot say enough about how delicious the food is or how good the service is. We did our Rehearsal Dinner and Sunday Brunch here as well and everyone couldn’t stop raving about the food. While it is pricey, we definitely got our money’s worth with the fabulous food and that is always money well spent.
