The first thing I must say is that St. Lucia is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been and I am old and have traveled A LOT!!! I am the research queen and I did months of research picking out a honeymoon spot for us. I narrowed it down to a few places on St. Lucia, but couldn’t have ended up with a better choice.

The setting for Stonefield is just amazing. Imagine your own little villa perched on the side of a mountain, overlooking the Caribbean, with the Petit Piton right out your window. Each villa has it’s own decent sized plunge pool, (bigger then a lot of other resorts pools) an outdoor shower that was so wonderful, a double hammock on each covered deck, and privacy galore.

The villa itself had a large walk-in closet, a kitchenette area, a double sinked bathroom, and a large bedroom with a netted bed. The big double doors at the foot of the bed opened up onto the deck. You could lay in bed and look at the sea. Simply amazing!

We booked the honeymoon package that included 2 meals a day, couples massage, manicure and pedicure, airport pick-up and return, sunset cruise, excursions to the volcano, botanical gardens, sulfur springs, waterfalls, and Champagne and tropical fruit basket.

The service at the rest. was slow, but we found that everything was slow on the island. We got used to it and didn’t really mind it after the first couple of days. The food was great and the menu changed every night. My one complaint with the rest. was that it ran out of items each night. There weren’t that many people there to be running out of food imo. I thought that the wait staff could have been a little more friendly from the get go. They took a while to warm up. The drivers and reception staff were wonderful.

I really can not put into words how breath taking every view was at Stonefield. Even the gorgeous pictures do not do it justice. We did have problems with out shower, they came out immediately and took care of it. Unfortunately it took 3 times and the manager to get it fixed properly. I was pretty unhappy by the 3rd time.

I am so glad I picked a place not so popular as a few of the others. We did go to visit a few of the others and I am glad we picked Stonefield. The only other one I would have loved to stay at and would recommend we couldn’t afford.

It was the perfect pick for our honeymoon.

We traveled American Airlines and had 4 flights total. Every single flight left on time and arrived on time! How rare is that???

What a great place! The variety is fantastic and the return policy even better. I ordered my shoes from them as well as my daughter’s. I had to exchange hers for a different size and what a breeze they made it for me.

I also had a hard time finding a not too high, closed toe, that wasn’t pointy! That was one of the hardest things regarding the wedding. I found them there and they were actually comfy.

I knew EXACTLY what I wanted and couldn’t find them anywhere. Some recommended Margie and I contacted her and she made me the perfect invitation. The card stock was so heavy (important to me) and the quality of her work great. She was quick and had them here within 2 weeks of contacting her!!! Her prices were about the same as other people I spoke with.

Antoinette does magnificent work, she has so much business because she is a wonder. The store looks like a hurricane goes through it once a week. I don’t know how she keeps track and gets all of it done.

My MOH, mom and myself all used her. Each dress came out perfect!!!! She is not cheap, and can drive you a bit nuts with her don’t worry attitude, but her work is great!

I was a little concerned about ordering the dresses online. I did a lot of research and pricing before I ordered. Pearl’s Place beat all other places I contacted, even the one that says it will beat by 5%. They wouldn’t beat Pearl’s prices. The bridesmaid dresses were 175-190 in the stores they paid 90. My dress was 800 in most stores and I paid 500. Quite the money saver!

I ordered the dresses Jan. 2nd and had the girls dresses by the end of Feb. They were in perfect condition, and exactly what I ordered. My dress came in, in May a month earlier then I was told. Again, it was perfect.

I definitely recommend Pearl’s Place to all of you looking to save money!

There is nothing I can say about Mary Sarah other then she was not your typical for hire officiant. Unless you know Stefan and I, and how we feel about life and our eclectic beliefs, you just possibly cannot imagine how PERFECT Mary Sarah was for us. I honestly believe there is not another person out there that could have “gotten us” better then her. It was the most beautiful, eclectic, spiritual, heartfelt, ceremony that there could have been for US.

People could not and have not stopped talking about the ceremony. We have actually gotten requests from people wanting to know if we have and can send them copies of the ceremony. To us this was the most important part of the wedding. It was the part that REALLY took a part of us and shared it with everyone. Again, we honestly believe there could have been no one else who could have made this a more perfect ceremony other than Mary Sarah.
Unfortunately we were her last ceremony. She is no longer doing the officiant thing L A great loss for a lot of brides.

I see SO many horror stories in reviews and posts about problems with Tuxes, we had none. We only needed 2 because Stefan owns his own, and so did the bestman. I used them because we use them for the high school I work at for a lot of things and they are a small family owned business.

When we went to pick them up one of my sons pants were too big…way too big. No problem, they went in the back and came up with a pair that fit him perfectly.

No problems at all.

I knew Jenny was the girl from me the moment I met her. Our personalities were great together. With about 3 months left to go before the wedding I started to panic about getting everything done the morning of the wedding. We had an 11:30 ceremony and there was just too much to get done that early in the morning for me to do it all. Now I am the type of person who wants to be in COMPLETE control because I think I’m the only one who can get what needs to be done, done! So, it was hard for me to let go and let someone else step in, boy am I glad I did! I knew Jenny would get things done and she did!

It was so wonderful not having to worry about 1000 little things. I gave Jenny a list of what I wanted and she made it happen! It was one of the best decisions I made. If there is any doubt ladies go for it. You wont be disappointed at all. We all have enough stress with the wedding let Jenny deal with it for you.

I just don’t know why Tommy is not popular around here. Well, actually I do know. He is so Unflashy, uncheesy, and Uninyourface, that most people don’t even bother with him.

For those of you who JUST want music, Tommy is the man. He plays EXACTLY what you ask him to play and does NOT play anything you tell him not to. When people asked him to play things on the NO list he would NOT play it. I loved it~

A lot of DJ’s we talked to would not play us discs that we burned ourselves. We wanted specific songs that are not easily found and he told us to burn it and give it to him. We spoke to about 3 DJ’s who would not do that for us.

Tommy was so under priced we couldn’t believe it. He was way too cheap in my opinion. We did tell him that! I won’t even print how cheap. He was by far the best bargain we had for the wedding.

My FAVORITE vendor!!!! I love David and Amy (his assistant and fiancée) They were not only so professional, but just the nicest people. We loved him from the first moment we met him and didn’t look any further after meeting him. His prices were by far the best and his work unique. We love the style of his photography.

I am already giving David 5 stars because he already (within a week) sent me samples! I LOVE them!!!!

His prices have gone up since we booked him, but believe me he is still a bit cheaper and sooooo worth every penny.
