A. We were very pleased with Huy as our photographer. Huy and his assistant were everywhere and seem to have taken every photo we wanted and then some. My parents joked that we must be paying them by the photo. Huy suggested that we take photos at each table while we did our table visits, which we loved since now we'll have a photo of everyone! Huy is an incredible value for anyone looking for a very budget friendly photographer.

Inexpensive, easy favors that our guests enjoyed (although one of my little cousins did re-gift me her truffles). Because some other reviewers had trouble with on-time delivery, I requested an early delivery time (about 1 1/2 weeks before the wedding). The boxes and ribbons were pretty (we did black pinstripe with white satin ribbon) and the truffles arrived in great condition (despite the heat).

I loved working with Suzanne at card de luxe. She designed beautiful menus and table numbers for me. She was incredibly quick to respond and worked with my short time table. And we couldn't be happier with the end result. Thanks Suzanne!

Audrey is terrific. In addition to being one of the most reasonably priced make-up vendors out there, she's also incredibly sweet. Turns out, I'm a high maintenance bride and she went out of her way to accomodate me (purchasing tons of new produtcs to try out and even doing a second trial with me). I loved my make up and adore Audrey. She also did a beautiful job with makeup for my mom, sister and bridesmaids.

The cake was beautiful and so delicious. During our planning we tasted a lot of cake and hands down, Flours cakes were the best. The day of, the cake was even better than I remembered. Numerous guests told us it was the best cake (let alone wedding cake) they've ever had. We went her a dark chocolate ganache, which is amazing, but honestly everything we tried was spectacular. Stephanie is also incredibly sweet (she backed us a whole beautiful cake for our second meeting) and easy to work with. I can't recommend Flours highly enough--simply fabulous.

Karen did our ceremony flowers (arch, pommanders, petal aisle and placecard table arrangement). She also taught me how to do my own centerpieces (no small task since I've never worked with flowers before). We got so many compliments on all the flowers. Karen was so great to work with and incredibly sweet. I must have had a million random and silly question that Karen always politely answered. She was a huge help throughout the planning process (she also does great paper products like mongrams and invites) and really helped me figure out my vision (she wasd the voice of reason many times when I had lost it). I can't recommend her enough!

To be honest, we didn't have much contact with the caterer. We knew they had tons of experience and nothing but great reviews, but we were a little worried about how little contact we had. But, in the end they came through big time. Guests raved about the food and the service. And they made a special effort to make sure I got to try all the appetizers (try the tuna on wonton crisps and giant shrimp cockail). The great thing about Schumann's is that they are a full service caterer, they arranged the rentals (glassware, chine, chairs, tables, linens, cake stand, heaters, etc.) and took care of all the set up (including our menus, etc.). And everything was perfect. Their beverage services was also gracious and unobtrusive. In the end, we couldn't have been happier, but they're probably not the best caterer for someone who needs a lot a of handholding throughout the planning process.

Mylinh did a really great job as our day-of coordinator. The set up was incredibly complicated (we had a lot of things to set up), but Mylinh took care of everything and it all looked amazing. She did a great job making sure everything came together and she ran the day-of perfectly. My fiance was against a DOC from the start, but even he admitted that Mylinh did a great job and he was glad she was there. My incredibly picky and demanding father also singled out Mylinh--he said she worked incredibly hard and made the night run smoothly. Mylinh coordinated with all the vendors and made sure everyone had what they needed from turning on the heat lamps to bustling my gown she took care of everything efficiently and professionally. I don't think a single thing went wrong and all the credit for that goes to Mylinh. She also organized the clean up of all the personal stuff (something I hadn't thought of) and that of course went smoothly as a result. I know that there have been some negative reviews of Mylinh on other sites, but my experience was nothing but great. If you are looking for someone who is going to be with you every step of the way in planning, then you'll need a full -time planner, but if you really just want someone to execute on the day-of I would not hesitate to recommend Mylinh.

Si is frequently recommended by lots of Norcal brides for good reason--she's very good at what she does, but still reasonably priced and she's also sweet and helpful. Si altered my wedding dress and cheongsam / qi pao for under $200 . She did a great job on both and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.

I bought my cheongsam / qi pao here. I sent in my measurement and they customized the dress to those measurements. I also got to pick out the fabric closures, slit length, etc. The dress was well-made and an excellent value. They suggested I buy an inexpensive sample garment first to make sure the measurements were accurate, but it didn't seem necessary to me. The dress ended up being a teeny bit big in the hips, but I measured conservatively on purpose, and had a local tailor tweak it to get it just right. All in all, I know I could have gotten a closer fit if I used a local tailor start to finish, but since it's a one time wear (and only for about an hour), it wasn't worth it for me. I'd definitely recommend, just measure carefully.
