we didn't want to spend a fortune on the cake, esp since my husband doesn't really like cake that much. we were having a very small wedding (just under 40 people) & also did not need a huge cake. someone suggested basha's grocery store & i was a bit hesitant, but the price was unbeatable. they made us a BEAUTIFUL cake, exactly as i wanted. it was 3 tiers, chocolate with vanilla pudding filling. the cake was moist & delicious & rivaled many of the cakes we'd tried by more expensive specialty bakeries. Everyone at the reception was amazed it came from Basha's & raved about it. A friend who got married a month after us chose basha's because she'd had our cake & loved it so much & hers was much bigger (5 tiers alternating flavors...white w/ a chocolate filling & carrot cake) & hers was just as delicious. Now, every year for our anniversary, we have a small replica cake made just for the two of us. And it's just as delicious as the first time around.

a friend got her dress here & raved about the service, so i went w/ her suggestion to look for a dress here...i went to the exact location she'd been to but the sales girl i was assigned was not very helpful at all....i had ideas of what i wanted but needed some guidance...all my family members were living out of town so it would have been nice to have her opinion. i think she just wanted to get off work & go home. finally found a pretty dress that was within my budget. i didn't want to wear a veil & their shoes were really uncomfortable looking/high priced, so all i got was my dress & my maid of honor's dress. finding her dress was a lot easier than finding mine. overall, i'd probably go back there because their prices are reasonable, but the service is hit or miss, i think. Also, am not sure why this keeps coming up as being in Atlanta, GA, as I used the one in Tucson, AZ...address is 497 W Auto Mall Dr

Not sure how much he costs, as he was included in the package we got...but he was AMAZING. He performed the ceremony in the traditional Native American way. It was beautiful & unique & every guest at our wedding told us it was one of the most beautiful, amazing & spiritual experiences they'd ever witnessed.

this place SUCKS. DO NOT buy from them. When we were ring shopping, they treated us very nicely. After we had the ring on layaway & were making payments (that were non-refundable), they treated us like dirt. Or rather, they treated ME like dirt. My husband worked days & so I had to make the payments (they would not take over the phone credit card payments) in person & they were SO rude every time I went in there. I've never been treated like that in my life...the last time I set foot in that place was a very happy day. I also was not told about their lifetime insurance policy & now it doesn't matter because they're only in California & Arizona & we now live in Texas. I did contact the company (after speaking to the manager, who did nothing) and they sent back a very apologetic letter, claiming the store manager would contact me. He never did. I then sent another letter a few months later, letting them know someone again dropped the ball & finally the manager got back to me. He was very nice & explained he was new & that the staff at that location had had a "major overhaul". It was nice to finally be treated with some respect, but when I look at my ring it's tinted w/ a bit of sadness.

We had a tough time finding a reception site that fit within our budget. Due to a serious illness in the family, our budget was cut drastically. My parents happened to be in Sedona & had lunch here on a suggestion from our wedding coordinators. They raved about the food & when I heard what a neat place it was, I was hooked. It's been around since the early 1900s & part of the bar room was used in "The Rounders" w/ Glen Ford & Henry Fonda. Had dinner there the night before the wedding & the trout was divine. Our menu was set at $27/person & they had a choice of an 8 ounce salmon filet or a 10 ounce prime rib. All plates included fresh veggies, potatoes or rice pilaf & homemade bread. Everyone (nearly 40) got the prime rib, except me. I had the salmon & it was very good. EVERYONE raved about the steak...my husband's friends & family are all from Texas & they said the steak was wonderful. The staff was friendly & helpful & they were able to work out a deal w/ the alcohol so that every table got a certain # of pitchers of beer, but if anyone wanted to have hard liquor, that was out of their pockets. I know everyone says open bar or it's tacky, but when you don't have the $$ to let 40 people drink as much as they want (which we figured would add up to over $8,000), you have to find a solution. We'd looked at other places to have the reception & no one would work w/ us on the alcohol issue. We had a private dining room, which was decorated by the staff & looked lovely. We also had full use of the patio (private for our function) & the bar room. It was a neat, lovely old building w/ lots of character & gave the reception a very intimate feeling. Loved it all. Lana was the manager at the time-lovely woman.
AMAZING!!! There were two cameras & thus they were able to capture our ceremony plus reactions of our guests...we had our edited dvd within about a week or two...we chose 2 songs to have playing during our footage & I did not specify which song I wanted for which parts...letting the professionals choose was a better option, i thought. they did a wonderful job & it turned out perfectly.

since we were on a budget, we had to find someplace close to home for the honeymoon. We chose Puerto Penasco, or "Rocky Point", Mexico. We chose a condo that was approx $70/night for the two of us, and were booked for 5 days. Condos in Rocky Point are privately owned, but the owners rent them out when they're not there to tourists. We had a beautiful condo with a lovely view overlooking the ocean. Condo was fully stocked with cooking equipment, washer & dryer (plus detergent, etc). The condo was like a hotel in that it had a front desk staff, small grocery store & a couple of pools, one with a swim up bar. Only downside was that there was NO ATM & the pool bar only took cash. Food & drink they served was good, tho. We had to drive into Rocky Point to keep getting cash at the bank & I did not like that so much. We had a great time exploring the town & feasted on the best oysters & shrimp I've ever eaten (you could tell they'd been caught that day, they tasted so fresh). We took a sunset cruise & since we were honeymooners we were treated to some extra perks. We did order in a pizza one night & the pizza in Mexico, while not "American", was very good.

this is where we booked for our wedding night. we were on a tight budget, but this one was recommended & looked nice on the website. my maid of honor, attendant & i went up there on the thursday before the wedding (it was on saturday) & stayed in the room i was supposed to stay in for my wedding night. it had a jacuzzi tub & fireplace, but even tho i'd told them i'm allergic to cigarette smoke, they put us in a smoking room-i understand if all the non-smoking rooms are taken, but they didn't even offer to reduce the room rate. we stayed there that night but it was so gross & we were afraid the smoke would get into our dresses, so we had to change the night before. they didn't even have any febreeze or anything to make the room smell better. so we changed rooms & it was a lot smaller, with no romantic extras. would have been nice if they'd made more of an effort, but at least our new room didn't reek.

our wedding was held in sedona, arizona & since we were living in tucson & couldn't be there to plan everything, we had to leave it to the pros. Heather was our point person & we communicated most details via email. She took care of the officiant, flowers & photographer (cost of which were included in our package), as well as coordinating with our videographer (which was extra). We still keep in touch a few times a year & I'd recommend their services to anyone!
