For our wedding, we rented out one of the banquet rooms in the downtown train station Union Station. The room was gorgeous and needed little in the way of decoration or accents. The high vaulted ceilings, tile mosaic floor, large arching stained glass windows and beautiful mahogany wood would hardly let you believe that you are in the heart of a train station! It was really neat to have such a unique room, with so much history, as well. The old ticket booths were cut-out wooden ledges that lending perfectly to serving tables. The event staff roped off the entire perimeter and provided security at each and every entrance/exit to prohibit unwanted travelers from attending the party. They also suggested great catering that was familiar with the design of the room. It was an amazing venue, and although expensive, definitely worth it.

Helena Gullstrom is the finest hairstylist in Los Angeles. She did two consultations with me prior to the wedding to make sure she achieved the exact look that I was picturing. In deciding upon this style, she offered suggestions and showed me clippings and photographs to help me visualize different looks. I have very fine hair, so Helena used 3 different types of curlers and curling irons to create the soft curls that I wanted, and they lasted the ENTIRE event (18 hours)!!! I would recommend her to anyone!

I have extremely sensitive skin and would trust it to one outside this salon. They have up-to-the minute products, services and techniques, and helped me design a skin-care routine leading up to my wedding day that guaranteed glowing and vibrant skin. They also have make-up consultants on staff and can provide excellent referrals for make-up artists and hair stylists.

Carissa Jones is absolutely amazing. Her fun-loving and charismatic personality make her great to work with, and her creativity is inspiring. She was open to my ideas and vision, but offered really unique suggestions as well. I am confident that she could transform or compliment any event location for any individual's budget. I will never use another florist for any event again!!!

I did not particularly like this salon. I found the salespeople to be somewhat distant and curt, and there were complications with my order. The dresses were also extremely expensive. I think a bride would be better looking elsewhere...

Scott was the best DJ for our wedding. We didn't want an MC, comedian, or space filler: we simply wanted a wide range of music and someone to take requests and fill in when needed. He did an excellent job.

Bluecat made a wonderful video for our event, capturing all of the special moments of the day from start to finish. We found their price to be somewhat high, but the dvd was high quality and we would regret not having such a thorough account of our day.

Mon Amie is unrivaled by any other bridal salon. Their professionalism and quality, both of product and service, is unparalled. The immense selecion of dresses is sure to include whatever style, color, designer, genre, and price you are searching for. Their boutique makes planning even more convenient by having bridesmaid dresses, flower girl dresses, mother of the bride dresses, shoes, head pieces, jewelry and all other accessories in the same vast array for your choosing. I loved having all my alterations done on site, and knowing that my dress and veil would be pressed, perfect and ready for me the day of the wedding. I could not have had a better experience.

Rosebuds was the perfect bakery for our wedding. They have so many delicious fillings, and their decorating skills span from simply elegant to amazingly elaborate. They were able to help us gage how big a cake to order, as well, which we really appreciated. Our favorite part was having the top layer custom made for us, complimentary, on our one year anniversary--it was definitely a special touch.

John and Max Mills were the perfect photographers for our wedding. The professionalism of their photos speaks for itself, but it was their positive and accodomating personalities that mattered the most to us on our "big day." No request was too big or deemed too small; they made sure to catch every special aspect of the ceremony and reception, both planned and in the moment. I would whole-heartedly recommend them to anyone.
