I too met with Michelle, who was kind and helpful. unfortunately before the wedding date both michelle and amanda resigned from the venue. I was left working with Rob Adlesh the food and beverage manager at palos verdes country club. And quite frankly he is rude, disrespectful, and most difficult to deal with. I was actually horrified by the way he was talking to me. As a small business owner i'm shocked that the country club would allow this person to be employed at their establishment and speak to customers the way he does.
if you do decide to have a wedding at this venue go directly to the club manager, gill, he was very helpful in all respects.
just to name a few crazy thing this venue does:
1. rarely responds to emails or phone calls.
2. POOR, POOR communication skills. One person tells you one thing, while another says something else. They actually changed the time of our reception Friday before the wedding (you can imagine what a headache this causes)
3. telling us there is no cake cutting fee when we first asked for our estimate, then the week before the weddings says cake cutting will be $1400.00
4. They told us to have the ceremony there would be 2,250. then again, 5 days before the wedding they raise the price to 2,500. (Gill kindly took care of all this for us)
5. Rob talking poorly about his team to me, saying they are incompetent and do not know what they are doing or saying. (this is NOT good business practice - you should never speak poorly of staff members to customers!)
this is just to name a few. Rob has been with the venue for 22 years, perhaps this is why he feels he can speak to customers the way he does.
At any rate i would never recommend this venue, they are completely disorganized & have no respect for their customers. This is not expected when you pay 30,000.
