My husband and I wanted to have our wedding at The Heritage Museum which deals exclusively with Country Garden Caterers. We met with Diana Perkins who is in charge of the catering for this location. She was pleasant the first time we met with her, after our deposit was made everything changed. We inquired about how much it would be to rent swags to decorate and we felt the price (850.00) was outrageous. I got approval from Tracy at The Heritage Museum about making my own swags to hang which would have saved us a significant amount of money. Our second scheduled appt. with Diana we showed up and brought my mother-in-law. She acted annoyed as if we had shown up without an appt. . It was very embarrassing because she had 3 other couples waiting to meet with her and was very flustered. When she got around to sitting with us I mentioned that Tracy at the Heritage Museum said we would be allowed to hang the swags ourselves and that we would not be renting them through her, she stood up and threw a fit yelling that SHE owned the hooks up on the overhang and that we would absolutely NOT be able to hang anything from the overhang. She proceeded to call Tracy on her cell phone in front of all the other couples seated at the other tables. To our surprise Tracy recanted what she had told us earlier and agreed that nothing would be hung from the overhang. To say we were embarrassed is an understatement! Not only was this my MIL first impression of her, this was in front of 3 other couples seated at other tables. I would have never gone out and bought 60 yards of fabric if I did not get prior approval about hanging these swags and this made me very upset. We did get and apology from Diane and she said she had a bad day and overbooked herself. Tracy claimed to not remember the conversation but did allow us to hang the swags. Throughout the planning of the wedding If I had any questions I would email Diane and if I asked 3 question she would answer back answering only one. This was very frustrating. We met with her to pay the final balance and the quote had jumped from $6,800 to $10,000. I asked why the difference and wanted to see an every itemized part of the quote and compare. She proceeded to tell my father and I that we did not have very much time because she had a wedding at CGC and we would have to leave. I received a email two days later saying that we owed another $550.00 and she wrote," I am sure you would have notice that the other day when you were micro analyzing the final invoice." I called her back and she said she was not feeling good and was not going to discuss the matter right now and hung up on me. All of this 4 days before my wedding!!! I asked to speak with Barbra the owner and was told that she would not be in until after my wedding. I still have not had my messages returned. We were forced to pay for 100ppl when only 70 ppl drank alcohol to guarantee that we would not run out of beer and, not surprisingly they did last call an hour early and ran out of beer. The day of the wedding the tables were to be set up with 10 chairs at each table and thank god my dad was there because they had set up each table with only 8 chairs which would have left people without a seat. I have worked in the restaurant industry and have also done catering before and have never seen anything like this. The Heritage Museum is a beautiful place but the company they force you to deal with takes all the beauty away from it unfortunately.

We were extremely dis-satisfied with the service we received from this company. To start things off we met with the DJ, Richard Wayne and we explained that we would like specific songs played during the pre-ceremony and to walk down the aisle to. None of the songs we chose were played while people were being sat. Richard started the song I was to walk into(Ave Marie) on the 3 bridesmaid. The speaker let off a piercing sound a few times prior to me entering. Richard Wayne forgot to introduce the person who was going to say the blessing for our dinner and as he introduced the wedding party he mis-pronounced half of them. When it was time for me to dance with my father he started the wrong song and then when he found the right song he started it halfway through and then restarted it from the beginning. To say I was embarrassed is an understatement. I had looked forward to this moment of the night and felt he had ruined it! Richard rushed our dollar dance song and left a line of people to be left standing without a chance to dance with us. The Dj is something that we felt deserved a larger portion of our budget to make sure that everything went smoothly and we felt we were ripped off. I left two messages with no response.
