A wedding coordinator who underwent a surprise Appendectomy a week before the wedding - check

A very nervous and scared sh!@less bride and groom - check

A rockstar wedding coordinator who managed our wedding four days after surgery - check

I have never seen the show Bridezillas but I can only imagine news of your wedding coordinator in the emergency room the week of your wedding would turn the most gentle bride into somewhat of a monster. Jessica from Dreams on a Dime had surgery on Saturday yet managed to do handle our three day wedding festivities in the same week. If you want someone who will make sure your wedding goes off without a hitch, then look no further than Jessica.

Despite putting her own health aside to ensure our wedding weekend was a success, Jessica performed other miracles. She was always on point and kept us on schedule despite our frantic last minute changes. She served as our main point of contact and liaised with all our other vendors to ensure we didn't have to deal with the details. She kept all parties and everyone on the same page and made sure things were seamless and painless. It was extremely helpful to have her at the walkthroughs and meet the various vendors as she knew the right questions to ask and made sure they didn't bs their way out of any situation.

Jessica is straight shooter and doesn't sugar coat the situation or her conversation which is crucial when planning a wedding and also very refreshing (this is coming from a New Yorker who is feeling his "east coast edge" slowly slipping away). Anyway, I digress. Jessica did a fantastic job to keep things moving forward and always made sure we got something accomplished from each meeting, phone call, email, etc.

Having Jessica for our wedding was the best money we could have spent. Our patience, sanity, and overall well-being were in constant fluctuation during the wedding planning process and Jessica definitely helped to alleviate the chaos.

Thank you Jessica!

Caroline, Darius, and SpringLoaf Catering rocked big time. Caroline was our main day to day contact and she worked endlessly to make sure all of our requests (and my demands) were met. We started planning our wedding while in London - as if wedding coordination isn't hard enough. From the initial introductory email to last call on wedding night, Caroline and her squad were always on point. She made herself available to us at all hours and worked around our schedule - through phones calls, emails, and in-person consultations.

Everyone always says all you need is good music, booze, and food for a great wedding and Caroline had the latter two points fully covered. She was always courteous and professional despite our craziness and always took our recommendations into consideration before putting her expertise/twist on things. Her bartending staff crushed fresh mint for our mojitos, made stiff and delightful drinks, and made sure no guest went thirsty.

Darius (the executive chef and Caroline's husband) was kind enough to introduce himself during the wedding and made it his personal mission to ensure we were properly fed. Caroline and her team provided a top notch full service catering (food, silverware, linens, bartenders, etc.) experience and we could not have been happier with her service.

We still have family and friends that rave about the food (all have placed our menu in their top 3 all-time wedding food lists) and some continue to crave specific items. A buddy of mine even had a dream about the mini sourdough clam chowder bowls. We had a diverse guest list and Springloaf was able to fully satisfy the vegetarians, meat lovers, and vegans alike. All of the final products were exceptional, and the food was absolutely fantastic both in presentation and consumption! I refrained from going into too much detail regarding the specific dishes because it only makes me sad to remind (and now deprive) my stomach of such culinary goodness.

We highly recommend Caroline, Darius, and the entire SpringLoaf Catering team!

My mom (3 weeks before the wedding): "You know, having the videographer is going to be very special"

Me: "Mom, we talked about this 55 times, we do not want a videographer and aren't planning to have one. Why haven't you accepted this fact yet?"

My mom: "What, no video person? Why not? I didn't know this. Let me talk to your father"

Me (to my fiancé): "Please don't kill me but my mother is pushing for the videographer again"

My fiancé: Insert every expletive imaginable.

Me: God help me.

Okay, so he might not be on the same playing field as God, but Dom from Bay Area VDO production definitely came through clutch. As I stated before, it was never our intention to get a videographer. It was three weeks before the wedding and I was a fragile and broken groom and had no more fight in me. My mother wanted a videographer, my fiancé wanted to kill me, and I just wanted to elope. Okay, maybe it wasn't that bad but you get the picture.

I contacted a bunch of videographers and Dom was prompt and professional in response. He understood my predicament and given the quick turnaround, was able to accommodate our schedule and budget. Keep in mind that we were having two (yes two) wedding ceremonies - a Hindu ceremony on Friday night the American version on Saturday. We were afraid that having a videographer would be intrusive and really over the top. Dom was very flexible in his approach and made me feel it as ease. He was on top of everything and was punctual and extremely professional. His team consisted of multiple HD cameramen, an edited DVD, plus an online two minute synopsis.
He was able to put me an ease after a few short conversations. Basically, it came down me to realizing that Dom knew best and that we were in good hands. The package we received from Dom was far less than his competitors in price but not in product.

In retrospect (and in most cases), I'm glad I listened to my mother. Chances are we are going to watch the DVDs many times over the next two months as our family and friends are obligated by association to watch it with us. We probably won't touch the videos again for a long time but I'm glad to know that I have this eternal keepsake of our ceremonies (trust me, I realize how cheesy that sounds). I don't know if this applies to everyone that gets married but the events were/are an entire blur (and this has nothing to do with the booze) and went by so quickly. I am eternally grateful that I can relive these moments (aka laugh at ourselves) and truly appreciate the events as they happened.

Thanks again Dom.
