STAY AWAY: the epitome of bad service and immoral business practice. I can handle the overly aggressive rushing personalities. What I can't handle is bad business practice. I came to this store to find a bridal gown close to home. I found the perfect one...after taking my measurements I was told I needed a size 6. Now, in normal clothing I'm a size 0 - 2n so this sounded a little weird to me. The owner, Nancy, showed me on the size charts that while by bust and hip I was definitely a size 4..I was in between a size 4-6 for waist....I had mentioned that I had tried on size 4 elsewhere and they had fit fine, but Nancy insisted that I needed a size 6. She went on and on about how I would rip a seam since this was a trumpet-fit dress...and to trust her because she's had 25 years experience and no complaints. So I ordered it and was asked to pay everything up front. This should have been the first sign. 5 weeks later (and 1 month out from my wedding) the dress is in and I go to try it and its big...big at bust and big at hip and instead of form fitting to my body it popped up in the back because the inner corset was too long for me...again Nancy said "don't worry, don't worry we will fix it" 2 weeks go by and all they've done is the hem and sewn pads into the bust...now, I'm a 32D-i don't need pads...and I was swimming in the dress....again they said they'd fix it...now its a week out from wedding and I'm supposed to pick it up...there's still over an inch gap from the dress to me in the bust area and the back still looks horrible. It doesn't even look like a trumpet fit. We show nancy the catalog bpicture of the dress and she says "you can't look like a model" WOW...she continued to just get plain rude...other than hem they didn't do any actual alterations...until the last week...and they were horrible...she finally took in the bust but made it too tight. Then sewed up the sides of the hips so much then I was actually afraid to bust a seam and the pleating didn't match...she ended up chopping it down to a size 4....I was so unhappy with how it looked I had to race out the tuesday before my wedding and find another dress. Thank god for David's Bridal - they had a beautiful dress ready for me in 3 days....I went back to nancy and said look I had to get another dress because this is horrible looking. I'll pay for your wholesale cost of the dress just give me back the remainder, you can keep the dress. Not even surprised, she didn't ask what happen or say sorry, just NO. You don't get money back...I buy right size for you. HORRIBLE. Don't go here.
