We are getting married in the Promenade Lobby in the Overture Center for the Arts on State Street in Madison! It is a striking location...a minimalist setting next to a soaring 60 foot wall of glass...if it is sunny, the room will be bright and cheery..if it storms, well, we'll be dry and that would be kind of awesome anyway!

We will order our custom inlayed wedding bands from John and his company Metamorphosis designs. He is a master jeweler who specializes in inlayed meteorite. So gorgeous!

I looked at gowns here but chose not to buy from them. Their selection, while impressive, is not as good as Vera's, and the shop is cramped and confusing. The gowns are all mushed together on a couple of racks, which makes it difficult to actually get a good look at them. It is low-pressure, though, which is nice, and the sale room is super fun!

This show is held in Madison each summer and in the fall/winter in Milwaukee. It is a great collection of area vendors, and there is a fun fashion show. I got a lot of ideas for my wedding at this show, and there is plenty of free cake!!

Eron and Neil are the best photographers in Wisconsin, and probably in the larger Chicago area. I am a wedding photographer myself, and would trust my day to no one else!

My sister used Carl's Cakes for her wedding, and we were disappointed. The cake was very pretty, but was also dry and the filling (raspberry) too sweet.

The Wed Guy is our day-of coordinator. He is really organized and polite, but gets the job done, too. He is a little pricey, but you have to pay for the best!

This place has fabulous Thai food at affordable prices! We set up a tasty buffet for our rehearsal dinner with them for 20 people, and the total came to $300! Good deal for lots of variety, and the dining room is very pretty!!

We are renting out this restaurant for our reception. It is fusion Asian food specializing in small plates. Look into renting out your favorite place for a good deal on your reception...you get food, rental, location, and staff for the cost of food alone!

We ordered the super adorable green knee-length sweetheart neckline gowns that are in all of Aria's adds. my girls love them and the quality is so much higher than any local shop! Highly recommended. Service is a little slow, though, so order early!
